LT's Electric Glide

It's nice to know that LT is entertaining and all. I just want to know if the 09-10 playoffs are going to be yet another case of him mailing it in when it counts the most or if he plans on actually showing up this year.

 

Your acting like he wants to sit out.

Both the injuries he had in the 08 and 09 playoffs were worse than people think. People just assumed they weren't because "if Rivers played, LT should of too". No. Rivers is a QB and LT is a running back a much more physical position. Add to the fact that Deion (OF ALL PEOPLE) questioned LT's "toughness". Deion would RUN away from contact AND he was a defensive player.

In 2008 vs the Patriots in the AFC Championship he had a slightly fractured left knee.

In the season finale vs the Broncos he partially tore his groin. He tried to play vs the Colts in Wild Card win but aggravated it. I don't know he injured his groin vs. the Broncos but the injury against the Colts in 2008 looked very ugly.

I expect LT to have a great post season barring injury. He's well rested and our once pro-bowl o-line is healthy again. He'll put up some nice numbers.

I have to say that the Oilers Ernest Givins had the best Electric Slide....much better than this...can't dig up a video of it though...

 

I know he's your boy but I remember interviews and what not of him talking about how he could have played. I mean, it's the playoffs....people calling out a big name in that situation should be expected. In any event, I wouldn't mind you being right -- I just don't think he's good anymore.

Oh well, best of luck against the Jets. You probably won't need it but then again the Jets seem to have a knack for surprising people. I wouldn't lose sleep over it if I were you, though. Noooow, if I were you and my team was playing the Steelers -- different story!!

 

I'm going to be 100% truthful. I'm so glad you guys did not make the playoffs. That might sound harsh but Steelers have had our number since forever. Match up problems everywhere for us.

For anyone watching LT's performance in the playoffs, I would suggest you not read too much into it because this offense is not built around him at all. In a good game he is going to have about 50-75 total yards (though a few of them will probably be big plays and he is the go to guy inside the 10). This is not LTs team anymore, it is Philip Rivers and LT has accepted that role.

 

Next season in FFB, Jamal Charles and Jerome Harrison are probably going to be drafted higher than LDT. He's looking like the Cardinals Emmitt Smith.

 

good that means he wont break emmit smith's record. if LT doesnt do it no one probably ever will.

I wonder how many people even know who the original "LT" was.

Every time I see LT, I don't think of Tomlinson.

Do you think Ladainian hasn't earned it? I certainly do.

Ladainian Tomlinson is a pretty long name so most people call him that to abbreviate it and solely for that reason. No disrespect to Lawrence.
