Move to the NBA Dish if necessary, thanks. http://voices.washingtonpost.com/wizardsinsider/2010/01/the-latest-trade-chatter.html
I really think that if we go this route the Cavs will be involved in a three-way deal with Jamison and Big Z somewhere in the mix.
nothing really new, except that the rockets rejected james, but i think we could have guess that.....i can't imagine anything happening with the wizards because they want Arenas included in any deal and we'd be crazy to take him, especially with this suspension/investigation. Arenas won't be touched by anyone anytime soon. Can't see them trading butler and/or jamison as they have been perfect players compared to Arenas, and their contracts aint that bad, trading them won't solve their real problem.
Why would we want Jamison? We're a young team and he's 33 years old and injury prone. I love his game too, but use your head. I'm surprised we're even interested in a 30 year old Caron Butler.
nothing new for the rumor. but i am eager to see the adding of butler.he would be a perfect fit for us definitely~~
Didn't Morey say he'll take a star player on the downside of his career but that is still productive for Mac.
Word is (somewhere) that the Rocks won't touch James with a ten foot pole. Understandable and I wouldn't want them to.
This forum is so fickle, unless we get Wade, James, or Bosh there will be haters complaining about. Just like the Brooks and Landry draft picks. haha Whomever Morey brings in will be part of the plan. Its better than a no playing T-Mac. Ariza can go back to being in his comfort zone of a third option and Battier can get somebody to help him get his 5 shot attempts off per game. I dont believe anything will really happen until next month. And like typical Morey, a deal may come out of left field with a team or teams we never even thought about (Lowry deal). Should be interesting.
yeah, some fans think we're rebuilding completely, but seems like morey is looking at all possibilities, if we can acquire talent to win now, he's going to pull the trigger.
Butler is just a less talented Arenas. Don't get me wrong; he's a very gifted player, but his decision making is pretty damn bad. Arenas actually has a really good basketball IQ, but gets selfish, but Butler...I watch him a lot and if his offensive game is not on, then he hurts the team. He's basically overrated. Just my opinion. Jamison is a much more refined player...smart vet, can play good offense, move without the ball, make good cuts...He's just a tweener, but he hustles, works hard, and has great shooting touch. Not sure if I'd want either on the Rockets though.
He did. And that makes more sense if applied to Caron Butler than it does Jamison. 33 years old is basically ancient in the NBA. But then, both of those guys are second tier stars on the decline. It isn't exactly like when the T-Wolves traded for Kevin Garnett.
Good idea, after the Lakers there is a sharp drop off in the west. Acquiring an 'elite level' talent this year could propel us to the WC finals, and then we will have a puncher's chance.
Why do they care about Mike James vs. anyone else's expiring contract? I doubt they even want Mike to show up... just buy him out or trade him on to some other team. The only thing I can think of is the Rockets might want Branden Haywood to be the expiring contract "thrown in." Haywood is a pretty good player, particularly for his money.
