    vj Sounds like my name(Vijay).
23 has pretty much become just a number and means very little to me, however, when I registered it was a jersey number that I had received a few times, and was also worn by Michael Jordan, Calvin Murphy, and Steve Francis.
    K is my last initial.

don't guess I ever posted in this one... anyway, it's not quite my real name, but it is sort of related to part of my real name. My Spanish professor was coming up with unique Spanish names for all of us, based on our real names, and that's the one I got. Anyway, I thought it was cool... for something like the Clutch bbs, I wanted to make sure everyone knew I was female. I know I assume by default that the new posters here are guys, unless they say otherwise.

I used to be an optimistic person.

Now I cry every night in my bed, thinking of what could have been if I had a different user name.:(

I used to hate signing up for email accounts from 1995 until now, still do. I hate having to come up with a clever handle, rather do things straight up the kilt.

This was the first message board I started going to, during the lockout season. Didn't actually sign up with CBBS until the 2000-01 season, and was advised by an idiot to sign up under my own name, so I signed as Kelly_Dwyer. Then, forgot my password, and re-signed as KellyDwyer.

Lesson is: I'm a gotdamn moron.

I'd give my left nut to be able to change my handle here, I post here about 1/5th as much as I'd like to because of my "nickname;" but because of a previous experience with PayPal (that cost me a few hundred bucks, that didn't go to the actual website) I don't "contribute."

Oh well. I can go and find another website with hep cats who provide intelligent and cogent discussions about basketball and other trivia.

(Oh, wait, there aren't any websites like that ...)

Little Prince (along with 1984) is my favorite book. But disliking the classist pretensions and realist connotations of the word "Prince", I cut it to Little. And being a lazy bum, I shortened it a three-lettered Lil, which cannot be mispelled backward.

I have often pondered whether to change it to something grander, like badassmofo, or at least something more befitting my actual size and egomaniacal nature, but then i remember Hakeem's exhortation to "Stay Humble"...

When I was signing up I seriously wasn't paying attention and so I entered my email address and then it all went down hill from there.

Not so bad though, the twhy part is my nickname from middle school, based off the first two letters of my name (no my name is not Tyler, I hate that $#!@ing name). 77 was just my baseball number in high school.

Well yeah, if I could have a new name I'd probably go with the_floating_scapular.

Well I didn't post in this one, so...

I had a dream when I was in high school that I was playing for the Rockets. Odd thing, though, was that it said RIMBAUD on the back of the jersey (apparently my dream self thought it was cool to do that). And so the pa guy would intorduce me loudly as "Raaammmboooooooo" or some such prlongued pronunciation. I also gave press conferences in spoken word and poetry. So when I needed a nick for this, my first ever bbs or omline community, "rimbaud" popped in my head first. No caps because I am not actually him.

My second choice would have been "bakunin"...which was my public email addy. Based on Mikhail Bakunin.

I'm mixed but I look Hispanic and all the people I hang out with or used to hang out with listened to rap music. Well Big Pun (Big Punisher) was popular at the time but I'm not really big so they called me Lil Pun.
