Our very own Chuck Hayes, the shortest center in NBA history at a whopping 6'6" is featured in this video, starting at the 2:30 mark. Big props to the Chuck Wagon!! http://www.nba.com/video/channels/nba_tv/2010/01/07/20100107_centers_attention1.nba/?ls=iref:nbahpt1
I couldn't be the only one who started laughing when they were trying to prop up Chuckie's offensive capabilities. He is a pretty good passer, but that's about it.
100% right on the defensive side. But I think they are giving the Chuckwagon a lil too much credit on the offensive end. He's a great passer and can hit a wide open lay-up if he catches the guy off-guard. Oh and that is the first time I've seen Chuck dunk in a game.....EVER. In short.......the Chuckwagon is a man amongst boys (excluding Mandry of course)
Wow, a video featuring Hayes. He's so under the radar that I thought that would never happen. Props to you Chuck, and keep on rolling!
Yeah, they said "His mobility gives him a distincted advantage on the offensive end." Shane also called him a boulder!
Funny how they got footage of him from as far back as three years ago. Come on... lol. Let's get some recent footage in here.
Finally Hayes got some acknowlegement from those so-called experts. Hayes has been the best all-round defender not just from this year. His defense sometimes made Garnette, Gasol, Bynums those bigs like a scrub.
That's what happens when you don't play for a big market like most of those other centers. (ie: Mainly Lakers. Notice hype surrounding Bynum who is a good but not great center. I would take several centers on my team over Bynum.
