Dikembe Mutombo is the answer at backup center. LOL

We don't need McGrady. LOL.

Yao will be back next season. LOL

Yeah, this team is starting to stink it up. I commend Brooks and Budinger for stepping up their midrange game, but the team lacks a starting SG and a starting C.

Don't look now, but NO, Utah, Memphis and OKC are all starting to play catch-up.

We need to do something because the other teams in the West are starting to get going as well. The schedule easing up will help, but I also think either Ariza or Battier needs to go to the bench for Budinger so we can have some offense in the starting lineup.

You must understand is that teams have more game tape now. So they are killing the first and 2nd cut and zeroing in on brooks. To his credit, brooks is trying to let the game flow, but when you have 2 zeroes in chuck and shane, teams are just sinking. They know luis can't create space and trevor is also out of his element, so then its basically brooks out there. Like i said this summer, they shouldve signed channing frye to play center vs andersen.

I can agree, but what I've always said, you hae to get into the game. I don't like trevor shooting 9 3's, in fact i don't like any player not name ray allen or reggie miller shooting like that many 3's. People on this board will pull up stats and try to defend how that's a great shot, but 23'9 is 23'9 mo matter how you look at it. Trevor isn't playing well right now, but shane has been garbage the whole season. Look at his per,+/-, and every other stat people used to defend him with. I've said it before chase should start, i just happen to think shane should go to the bench.

Shane at least plays good D and stays within his capabilities.

Trevor stands at the 3pt line with his hands in the air demanding the ball.

Someone on the Rockets needs to walk up to his punk arse and read him the riot act...starting with....."Hey suckwad..."

    put down the wine glass...

    Trev does what he's told.

You and all of us know that this is a developmental year in terms of Ariza.

It's not like we're going to the Finals?

The Ariza situation makes me a little disappointed that this team does not have a vocal, in-your-face leader. I hate to say it, but the last guy we had like that was Juwan Howard.

Someone needs to tell Ariza (maybe even during the game) to keep his mouth shut and play ball.

Doesn't matter whether we are winning or not, got to explain the lay of the land to people so they can find their role.

Trevor's is about 4th in the pecking order, and his attitude about it is far worse than the missed shots.

    In fact it is cancerous.

You are just speculating at this point about his attitude being cancerous. In fact there seems to be a lot of speculation about Ariza's attitude and ego. I'm not sure why people would think Ariza would have such a big ego after being signed to a MLE with Houston. No one (to the best of my knowledge) has said Ariza is going to be focal point of the offense, but would receive more touches and given more opportunity. Yet, people want to bash Ariza any way they can.

We just got done with a brutal schedule (worst in NBA) and you people are b*tching about changing the starting lineup given we are still in the top 8 teams in the West? I understand a lot of speculation and pretending to be NBA coaches/GM's goes on around here but I would be very surprised if anything changes in the real world. Insert Yao into our starting lineup and things will look better. It will be most amusing how people will treat Ariza once Yao returns and if we get another all star.

The bad thing about starting Kyle and Landry out there is that who is going to bring some fire power off the bench? The only person I can think of is C budd. But other than that, we just lacking offensive players.

The only thing is that if somehow we can take Battier out of the starting line up and swap him out with Chase, then it can work. We would have Brooks, Chase, and Luis who would do the scoring for the starters. Chase can provide extra needed offense to the starters more than Battier can. Ariza when he is feeling it can add to that as well.

So our bench would have Landry and Kyle leading the pack with the sharp shooting of Anderson and the defensive abilities of Shane Battier.

Uh, Daryl Morey said they needed to do something about the lineup in his tweets....

I think we are just speculating on what that might be.

As for Ariza, it is not speculation to see his demeanor out there and his teamates beginning to freeze him out at times, you can SEE IT ON VIDEO...

And it is not speculation to watch him yelling at his teamates or waching him make gesture after gesture.

Who do you think Battier was calling out talking about chemistry?

Let's not put our head in the sand just because we don't like the music.

Nice starting lineup, but who comes off the bench for us to provide that extra scoring punch? Ariza? Anderson? Battier? I don't think so. What really needs to happen is a trade. Get a legit SG in here (Iguodala, Martin, Granger, etc.). This goes back to McGrady. If he had just been patient, he would be playing a lot more right now.

Actually.. he didn't say they need to do something about the lineup.. he said the lineup needed to make changes..
That doesn't mean changing the rotation, that means changing how things work in the first and third.

Let's not put words in Daryl's mouth eh?

Yes, Ariza has ran the break as well as anybody on the team and that's exactly what he needs to do. Stop the jumpshots from behind the line and take it to the freaking hole. You know that when Lowry comes in the game its for one thing to run like hell, get to the rim, and scrap for every steal and every rebound.

Plus, if we ever do get Wafer to pass his physical and inked to a deal he will pack even more punch off the bench. Andersen spreads the floor and Battier I had in the starting line up.

Besides, when you sub for back ups it doesn't mean that the entire starting 5 comes off the court. There are usually just a few players that come off and we stay with our hot hands of the beginning of the game, AB for the most part and more than likely Landry if he ever gets the assignment.

Trust me, it can work. Adelman if anybody can make it work. ;)

Well that could mean either, couldn't it?

It may mean attitude, play, or lineup changes.

I think the team needs lineup changes.
