What do you guys think of this guy. The best case senario is that he turns out like Peja. Deadly outside shoot, good handels with a defensive game to match. If he gets anywhere near Peja level he can be our starting 3 who will greatly contribute in no time. Is this realistic though? I don't know too much about him or his game. If any one out their does are his skills the same as those of Peja's and can he turn into the next Peja.

I'm not sure. I kind of have mixed feelings on him. I mean, I don't really think that he will be the next Peja, but I'm not sure. I mean I'm not a scout or anything, and like most of you I haven't seen him play, but I think that if he was going to be the next Peja, then he would've gone higher in the draft. But I mean who knows? Most international players are mysterious like that. I mean we don't really know that much about them, but we can only hope that they turn out to be good. I think that Nachbar will be good, but saying that he is going to be the next Peja, well we've got to wait to see him play first :D.

Actually from the clips we have been given, he reminds me more
of a young 'Thunder' Dan Majerle.. which is not a bad thing at all.

Unlike Peja, Nachbar has a gret drive to the basket, ending with a great dunk. Dunking plays a big part of his game although he can play all over the court, just like Yao!

Maybe we've got a combo of Peja/Hedo. Not quite the shooter of a Peja (although still good), and with athleticism.

I think he'll be a good player but i thnk Rudy and company could of got such a better feel for him if he had competed in summer league to see if he could handle sub par NBA talent much less the talent he'll face agasint the marque teams. But he was hurt so i guess well have wait untill the season to see how he turns out.

I was thinking the same thing, eventhough we have'nt seen him in action but likes to shoot behind the arc and finish the ball on the paint with a dunk! I think that is sweet!:p

Trust me dude will be nice, I mean he started over Tsita and averaged about 14 in Euro league. Judging by that alone he will not be the next Peja but will become a solik 15 ppg guy, not bad. This is exactly what we need plus he is a wing man, he'll be just fine after some experience. And by the way I think that Tmo will start to come into his own this year.

Hopefully Rice will be OK and it will give Nachbar a chance to learn the NBA game and work on his defense.

We should give him at least this year to get acclimated. I haven't seen him play, but I like his attitude..."I want to be the me." Go Boki!

I haven't seen much of him, but for some reason I see him as a poor mans Paul Pierce. Similar style of play, but won't score near as much.

Tough to compare the draft situations... when Peja was drafted there were fewer people that knew about Euro players so it was considered more of a reach to draft one. Plus, he was under contract so it was not known when or even if he would play in the NBA (that same year there was a Euro center Efrem Rentzius orsomething like that) who was drafted a few spots after Pejas by DEN who is just now considering coming here (his rights were just traded by DEN).

Now, there is a lot more history and knowldege of foreign players. Nachbar's contract wasn't an issue.

That all said, its tough to compare their games... Peja's got that really sweet jump shot but I don't think he has the explosive jump that Bostjan is supposed to have. Until Nachbar's Sunday workout I don't think folks were as convinced he could shoot that well (I don't think his league stats were that high). Perhaps Hedo might be a better comparison...

I like mine with red sauce. ;)

I've got a hunch that Nachbar's going to surprise a lot of people. I think Steve and Cat are going to LOVE playing with this guy. Fast-break city, here we come! And he strikes me as very intelligent, which we really need on this team. His D is suspect, but that's the case with almost all Euro players. Bostjan thinks he's going to be the first Nachbar. Sounds good to me.

BTW, Clutch has some Bostjan clips in the multimedia section. They should still be there. (I hope!) :)

Nachbar is going to be a starter midway through the season. This guy is a very mature player who really understands the game. He's not as good a shooter as Peja, but he does have NBA three point range. One thing that people have not noticed is that this guy can really finish. He is very effective on fast breaks and will fit in very well with Franchise&Cat.

He also has good ballhandling skills, but I would like to know how good is he at catching and shooting the ball.
