The crimes the Clippers announcers commit during games are far worse.

They can't even see what's happening right in front of them. Their play-by-play analysis is atrocious. Their knowledge of opposing teams and players is even worse.

Is "O Me O Mine" in reference to something, or just a typo/misunderstanding of the phrase?

I love the Clippers announcers. They're probably among my favorites - but admittedly just because they are entertaining, I don't really pay attention to their insight. The play-by-play guy is a homer, but the other one balances him out nicely.

It's what he says in reference to a big play.

It's "Oh me, oh my!" And that's Ralph Lawler's line, not Michael Smith's (the accused one).

    Thanks.

That's what I was getting at. I just think it's funny when people misuse/misunderstand phrases (ie. "mine as well" instead of "might as well") :p

Stop the nit-picking. The misuse makes no difference for all intensive purposes.

Just looks to me like they used a friend's house as collateral for a development deal and the real estate bust happened and now they are trying to pay the guy back. unless there is shady stuff that isn't being reported, it just looks like a bad investment

    misleading somewhat

Not really stealing if the other guy knows about it and has agreed to it. He's just mad that it didn't go according to plan.

Wait....I don't really understand how this is a crime? Isn't there an inherent risk in any investment? What guarantee did the lender have that he was going to be able to get his money back? If the real estate market went sour, that's through no fault of Micheal Smith.....he was also a victim of the circumstances. Am I just not understanding something here??

I think the use of "mine" is in reference to the guy being charged with stealing. Kinda like a play on words there.

That would make sense as well. I'm just not familiar with the Clippers announcers, so I wasn't sure if it was intentional.

Yeah I don't get it either. Per the article's story, Smith "convinced" his friend to use the house as collateral. How does that constitute as stealing? Sounds like his friend just want his money back, even at his expense.
