This is the way I'm thinking it could go down.

If Colt McCoy from Nebraska shows up, Bama wins.

If Colt McCoy from A&M shows up, Texas wins.

And I already know what you're thinking... Alabama is way more like Nebraska than they are like A&M... so, if I was a horn fan, I'd be pretty damn worried.

a mismatch? texas was a 3 point dog in that game playing in southern cal. you need to rethink things if you think texas had no real chance in that game unless everything went their way. 3 point dogs aren't underdogs that need everything to go their way to win.

i am a texas alum, but i try to stay objective since the horns have had a history of disappointing me. i thought texas would win because we had the best player on the field and that proved to be true. texas had an amazing team that year and so did usc. you act like texas was chopped meat compared to usc....but they were still only a 3 point dog in spite of EVERYONE and their mother thinking texas didn't have a chance.

The Longhorns do great when they have time to scheme.....I think Colt McCoy goes off big time tonight.

Longhorns Romp...by at least 10...if not more.

that's how i feel. this game is all on what colt mccoy/o-line shows up. however, i'm not worried. i think this game is a toss up.

man i just went to check the line and i didn't even know how much it had moved since it opened. i remember it opened at -7 alabama now it's down to -4 bama. pretty damn big move.

I am rooting for the Longhorns, but I expect the Crimson Tide to win.

thanks bro! I was responding to Yoyo not having noticed any Bama fans in the SoCal region. I still have seen way more Burnt Orange in the last few days...

I am so worried that I am not going to Austin to watch the game. If I thought we would win, I would be on the road. After 70-3 vs Col, I drove after 13-12 v Neb no way.

Colt better channel VY cause we will need him. Or atleast 2008 Colt from Oklahoma game...

    What is wrong with you?

    Go.

    Who knows what will happen.

You don't know when you will have this chance again.

I'm pretty sure you are incorrect here about the spread. I'm not 100% sure but if I remember correctly Vegas had the line at around 7.5 or 8 on that game when it opened and I think it went down to around 6.5 or so before kickoff.

hmmm...maybe i going crazy. i just asked someone else at my office and he said it was -7 usc. for some reason i had it burned in my brain that texas was +3 in that game.

    either way -7 isn't a huge dog.

Superbowls and big games seem to score more than people think.

I would take the over, turnovers and returns might come into play as well.

46 is a reasonably reached number.

So for me, Texas and the over.

7 is pretty huge for a National Championship game.

As for the over/under, that's exactly why I don't gamble.

46 is a number made to tantalize people... at first glance it definitely seems like it will be under, given both teams' defenses. But you never know, that's a tricky number and I wouldn't touch that.

Hope Texas found an offense outside of McCoy and Shipley, specifically a RB. Otherwise, the game will not be pretty. Anyways, Hook'em Horns!!!!!

I took the over... I see the game ending at: BAMA 30 Horns 17

I'm thinking something like 23-10 Bama. So if I were to touch it, I'd take the under. And DD said to take the over so that seals it, I'd definitely take the under. :)
