You know what's going to suck....it's going to be Deja Vu 1994....the strike happens and the Astros win the division w/ Berkman instead of Bagwell winning MVP.....the Astros always get SCREWED!!!
I'd be lying if I said I haven't tuned into a game since the All-Star break. I checked the score on the Astros game on Fri and Sat. Watched an inning or two. I've been watching the Braves Expos series on TBS. Cordero just hit a grand slam. I haven't heard their stadium that loud...ever. Friday night the crowd gave Floyd a 2 minute standing ovation. Go 'xpos! I'm really happy for what's going on in Montreal with the fan excitement.
Actually, the Reds were beating the Astros when the strike happened....and Bagwell broke his hand right before the strike, too... so for ASTROS fans...the strike was the bomb!...well Baggy wouldn't have won the MVP for sure if the season had finished.
You stupid nerd! Why don't you put your Chubaka suit back on and continue to speculate on a plot for Star Wars Episode 3 with the rest of your lowlife kind in a message board in the dark alleys of the internet.
I know a thread is not going to make the difference, but I heard a minor league player on the radio describe a game that had attendence zero and how different the ballgame was. I wish players and owners could all hear that bit.
I really couldn't care less if the players strike. In my opinion, baseball is a boring sport. I only like to go see maybe one game a year. I never watch baseball on tv. I will probably abide by that strike, not even on purpose, because I wouldn't go see or watch a baseball game that day. I never watch baseball. This time of year stinks, because it is the offseason for basketball and football. I can't wait until the Rockets opener.
Well, I've been participating in the baseball fan strike. I haven't watched a game all year. And I didn't watch any last year. I basically lost interest in 2000. I've stayed away, and I probably will continue to stay away (can't imagine any reason why I wouldn't). Of course, I also haven't watched the NFL since the Oilers changed their name (I admit I did watch them when they were in Tennessee and were still the Oilers). Perhaps I'm just not much of a sports fan of any kind anymore.
