He's taking a physical for the Rockets or for any NBA team that may be interested?

That is unclear at the moment, but we are trying to find out......not sure why it takes a day to get results from a physical, maybe because the team and management was in Phoenix.

I just hope it is with the team.

The background image of his twitter is a photo of him with landry and artest in rockets uniforms. My guess is that DM let Von know that if he healed up and passed the 2nd physical, they'd have a deal.

I think it's pretty safe to say the physical was with the Rockets... Mike Harris was just waived, and Morey stated before that they would revisit Von Wafer after he had failed his first physical.

Ariza had 15 pts tonight, isn't that about what is expected? :p

I am pretty sure he failed because he smokes so much weed, and he will probably fail again.

Would love to see von back only thing budinger is back now, dont see how he would get on the floor when Adelman likes to only use a 8-9 man rotation.

I am still unsure about Wafer.

He has some skills that we are in need of (slasher, scorer, nice mid-range), but I am not a fan of boneheads. At the moment, outside of Battier we really don't have another vocal and experienced leader so we have to be careful with the team chemistry.

On the other hand, the only major problem, outside of not making the extra pass at times, was refusing to leave the game during that playoff game against the Lakers. And people do deserve a second chance.

    What to do?

Give me a freakin' break. Wafer acted like an idiot and deserved to get benched. Well said? My ass.

If he's picked up, it won't be long before people are hating him too. It's a Clutchfans' Rites of Passage. You're not a real Rocket unless someone on here hates you and then makes a thread about it.

I really want Von back! He brings so much energy and would be good to take a chunk of Ariza's minutes.

Our starting unit needs more offensive options. Depending on the opposing team's best player that needs to be guarded, I propose a starting unit of

    Brooks
    Budinger
    Battier/Ariza
    Scola
    Hayes

    Bench unit

    Lowry
Von Wafer (when he joins us again)
    Ariza/Battier
    Landry
    Andersen

Since we emphasize TEAM, no one among the starters should mind it if they are asked to play in the 2nd unit. Right now our 2nd unit is capable of outperforming the starting unit. What should count is we all go for the win.

I think our team is showing signs of fatigue. We badly need reinforcement. Von Wafer can be that guy. The player/s we get for the T-Mac deal must also be able to help. But if Von Wafer comes back, we can afford to wait for a quality deal.

(I wonder if a "fairy tale ending" can happen with T-Mac coming back to us willing to accept reduced minutes. The trade offers have not been exactly eye-popping. Von is coming back and the Rox want him back ... who knows?)

Hate to say it, but Von might actually be our answer...
