You are basing your entire premise and argument on an assumption -- one that I disagree with. What if it meant 10 more wins? 5 even? I think it should happen and will eventually happen. Even if Morey does have this ego that you speak of, how long would he hold out? Until the contract is expired? Sooner or later -- and we all prefer sooner -- we'll have to accept the fact that Ariza is, at best, a third option. And preferably one with stars attracting all the defense.
Benching The Blacksmith is probably out of the question because Morey promise him the starting spot to sign with us. But now that Airbud is back, we should definitely reduce Trevor's minutes.
NO... Ariza came here to start on the team and to prove himself a good offensive player..if you would start rookie over 6 years experienced guy, that would really piece him off. I know Ariza has been really shooting bricks lately, and some people might know it or not Ariza has always let his emotion get the best of him, and starting Budinger over ariza that might distrubt the team chemistry a little. So if I was Adelman I would keep him in the starting lineup and go with plane... that is only my opinion ...
yea...ariza is not getting it done...he isnt in the right spot or doesnt move at times on offense until he gets the ball...he needs to change that start the ROOKIE chase let ariza know that he has to EARN his playing time.
This team as is will win 50 games. Starting Chase over Ariza isn't going to make all that much of a difference. It's not who starts, it's how many minutes you play and which minutes you play. Chase isn't playing all that well either...so how many wins more will you get starting Chase over Ariza? Heck, can you even really make with certainity that it would be positive? Morey will hold out until he finds an opportunity to make a move that makes him look good. In other words, he'll hold out until he has an opportunity to move Ariza for something that improves the team so that he can make the argument that, "Ariza was great but I just had to do this because it was a great opportunity to make us better" Until that moment, sit back and watch Ariza. Man, and I thought be were hard on T-mac! Poor Ariza, he hasn't played 3 months and he's getting smashed like he's been playing this way for 10 years.
I don't know if C-Bud is up to a starting role, but we know Ariza isn't, that's clear. Sure give him a chance. Ariza should sit, he is playing horribly and what's worse, he is developing an attitude of blaming everyone else. Not good. Adelman better address this issue and quick.
