Is it time to start talking about trading someone other than McGrady?

Man, that's hilarious! Freakin' classic. God, I hope I never turn into that "Battier!"

    DD,

You and I are on the same side of the fence re: Ariza. Not impressed, at all. In fact, he has displayed some Shandn-esque qualities...

    1). Awful dribbler
    2). Poor court vision
    3). Purported potential to blossom
4). Overrated defender (though Shandn at least tried to stay in front of his man)
5). Better fit on a better team/lesser role

Yeah...the torch has been passed from Kelvin Cato to Rafer Alston to Tracy McGrady to Trevor Ariza!

Beautifully put on the Battier part. I agree with the Iggy/Dalembert idea, but why (and how) would Philly agree?

I dont understand rick's thinking here. He isnt willing to gradually put mcgrady back in because he feels it will mess up what the team is doing right now. However he is still willing to let trevor ariza get himself comfortable with his new role, which is taking longer than it should.

That tells you a whole lot about what they think about TMac behind closed doors, doesn't it?

do you think that's the only reason RA refused to use t-mac?

t-mac hurt Rockets first. he is not a good person who should be included in any team.

Morey may have thought Wafer was a nice pick up at some point this season for near the minimum, but that is irrelevant to my point. Morey doesn't think Wafer can provide more for this team than Ariza can, which is what you said and what I was replying to. Based on defense alone, he offered Ariza a full MLE. He wanted to offer Wafer the minimum.

I can't think of any better proof of how he values both players.
