I respect your opinion about Yao and you made some valid points too. But you are pathetic to keep calling people who disagree with you a YOF. Oh, poster A must be a YOF because he disagrees with you about Yao and he has 'asian' in his screen name. Oh poster B must be a YOF because he disagree with you about Yao and he writes in broken English. Do you have enough intellectual ability to convince someone without calling names?

 

I am calling him YOF because he wants to put me on the Troll list without offering any type of valid counter argument. Given his name and his pathetic one-liner, I can only assume that he is upset at me because I am insulting his idol. How many other people have I called a YOF? If you are going to try to call me out for generalizations, try taking your own advice please. You are assuming a lot of things about me here.

 

Yes its gets very old when Rocket fans defend Yao because he is a Rocket player and so happens to be one of the nicest guy around, he gives back plenty to the Houston area.............

The guy is injury prone and until he is traded, most Rocket Fans will defend him because not once in his career has he ever disrespected the Houston Community or the Houston Fans or complained about the team.

Making comments on trading him is fine, but it gets downright old when people defending Yao gets labeled as YOF.

 

Because he thinks that will label him a team-first fan.
He claimed himself a Chinese. Doing so makes him different from the other Chinese fans.

 

I won't ever call a Rockets fan defending Yao a YOF as long as he can provide me with legitimate arguements of how he can help our team. However, I will call someone that when they put Yao above the good of the team or offer some lame post like putting putting me on a troll list without any legitimate reasons, after I offered a very valid arguement. Yao is part of the Rockets and the Rockets are not just Yao.

 

Yes, every time you saw this guy post, you have to wonder something. Go back to the topic, this thread is quite funny for new people in this side since we have not seen anything like this before, at least for me.

I defend the guy because he is a Rocket. Crap I defend Ariza............ once they are out of the lineup i got no issue trashing them if they are selfish and did Houston dirty.....

Aside from his big dumb troll comment (which was definitely over the top), most if not all of Chenjy's criticisms against Yao are about him as a player, and are definitely valid comments.

How are you going to defend Yao tying our cap down and missing 4 of the last 5 playoffs despite making max money? During his tenure Yao Ming was as much a liability as Tmac, even more so if you consider Tmac was at the very least present and able to play when playoffs come around while all Yao did was keep us well away from the lottery and fresh young talent but abandon us when it matters the most every single season.

Him calling Yao Ming a "big dumb troll" is no different from Tinman or DD calling Tmac Mclady. Since name calling has already become a staple here the only ones who would raise a such a furor about it have to be YOFS or Rocket fans who have an very very huge bias on Yao Ming.

Acting like its cool to invent names questioning Tmac manhood but at the same time getting all high and mighty when someone insults Yao is nothing but hypocrisy IMHO.

Apparently you misunderstood me, my post was in general to posters who love to label anybody defending Yao as a YOF. lol

2nd I have posts that clearly state we should trade him if we get good offers.

T-mac,d I rarely called him any names, is unfairly portrayed, I defend his butt because I stated during his Rocket years he did not have the supporting cast to win and 2005 we got robbed. But like man fans what he did last year was sick. If you are injured, just sit, don't try to play and don't announce you are going to have microsurgery without telling your boss, stop making comments if you had a better team....etc. So I can understand how Rocket fans want to jump on his throat for last year's circus.

My comment was a general statement because seems like every new poster who defends Yao in someway = YOF and its disgusting to think most of us won't admit it but most of us label a YOF = Asian person with poor grammar. I know tons of Americans (including me) who have poor grammar because well, we just suck in School and we liked to party more :grin:

To prove to the haterz they were wrong, cuz Yao has been a durable, dominant big man that ended up carving out an illustrious, Hakeem-like playoff resume.

Truthfully, he was better than many suggested, but didn't separate himself from the pack enough to recall this thread in some kind of "in your face, space coyote!" type of effort.

 

He's the best center in the league when healthy. That healthy part is the only problem.

The haters thought he'd be worse than LaRue Martin and would at best be the next Shawn Bradley, and didn't bother to hide the racial aspect at all. Even if he never plays again he's shut them up emphatically based on what he's already done.
