He has just been flat out awesome this year down in the post. His strength has greatly improved, his situational awareness has improved, and his ability to finish down low has improved as well.

Going into this year, I did not expect this kind of jump in production. But it does not surprise me really. When Landry first started playing in the league he was mainly a pick and roll dunker. Last year his game improved slightly and expanded into the 10-15 foot range.

This year his defense is up, his jump shot seems a lot more polished, and it seems as if his below the basket game has materialized into something legit.

He needs to spend some major one-on-one time with Hakeem here because he's got the footwork, strength, and most importantly the determination.

No doubt i think next season he will continue to do what he does now and improve his rebounding/boxing out. He is on pace to be an elite PF.

I saw a couple moves over the last few games that reminded me of Hakeem. Some of the baseline pivot moves, or a nice turn around lay in etc. His game is going to get better and he's going to be a legit PF in this league.

He needs to get with Dream this offseason for more than one session. Like a whole month. If only Hakeem would be up to it.

Landry is the best thing to happen to the rockets this season.

His post game is impressive. Actually, his midrange jumper and free throw are good too.

Last year he said he was working on his perimeter game in the off season. With Yao, Deke, Scola, and Chuck he figured he would have to improve there to get minutes at the 3 spot just to see the floor. This year knowing Yao would be out, i'm sure he did much more post work.

Landry's offence is brilliant. What he needs to focus on is boxing, rebounding and one-on-one defence.

If the rockets can make the playoffs, Landry will win the 6th man of the year.

He would definitely benefit from Hakeem's tutelage more than Yao. Carl actually has the physical tools to mimic many of Dream's moves. He is a special athlete.

    sure wasn't too special tonight.

what landry has impressed me is his work. the guy puts something into work every year since he was a rookie. this year the most notable improvement was actually his ft's.

He had 19 pts on 7-11 shooting. No dunks, really, but he still did well.

landry's play is awesome, though he did't score too much in the 4th quarter, still he was among the best players on the court hit 7/11.

right now i think adelman needs to give more minutes to lowry ,this guy is the best passer in this team,if he is out ,y can't count on brooks to make more assits .that is really what made landry so inefficient during strech time.

I mean i dont know what to say about the guy. Clearly our best player if you ask me and an absolute steal of the last 5 yrs for the Rockets. He was scoring easily against one of the best front courts in the league. He was going against Bynum and Odom, and had no problems. Defensively, he's not there yet. But man oh man, Carl just might be our future.

If Landry was 6'10 we could build the team around him... Fantastic offensive player but needs to work on shutting people down if he ever wants to start.

I'd like to see Landry step out to the elbow and try to work on his game. He has the ability to be a productive player from that range, plus the Rockets without McGrady suck at giving the ball to Landry in the low-post.

His 1 on 1 game has improved greatly, I don't remember very many times in the last 2 seasons where he could just take his defender on like that on his own. He's doing a great job playing to his strengths as well as the weaknesses on whoever is defending him. If his defender his too slow/large for him, he faces up for a jumper or blows by. If his defender is smaller/quicker, he's out muscling him to the rim. Landry is growing right in front of our eyes :)
