I know Bull considered it a 'stand-up thing to do', to go out of
their way to find a team for him that wanted him so he could keep
playing.. we traded him to what, Charlotte/New Orleans? Is he
going to be on the team again, or is he/will he retire? Honestly I
still he was the best pure shooter we have had in a long time,
and if he doesn't have anything left in the tank then fine, but I
would REALLY love to see him be able to retire as a Rocket.. has
anyone by chance heard anything about what his situation is
now? Heck I think he could still park on the arc and hit for 8 - 10
pts per game for us even now.. but at the very least I hope Les
makes a nice gesture to him and signs him to a technicality
contract so he could then retire in a Houston jersey..

Plus he is just a great guy too.. I bet we have him on our game
telecasts as a regular in the not too distant future..

He would be a great backup SG! perfect to backup Mobley or could shift nachbar or rice to SG, and put Bullard at SF...

    Bullard a sg....HAHAHAHAHAHA

Seriously though, it would be nice to have him back on the team. It seemed like every year, we were signing him to play 12th man and IL but by midway through, he was the only guy not injured and he was a big part of our success. All he really did was shoot and it's not like shooting touch just leaves you after a certain age. I say go for it. If nothing else, we have him on the IL and he finishes his carreer in Houston but I bet he would find a way on to the floor and help this team out big time.

We all know Bullard wasn't some all-star[favorite Rocket behind Hakeem to me], but why did we get rid of him and pick up Rice's contract?

They both are in their mid/late 30's, neither are known for their great defensive skills, but one is severly overpaid while not being that much better, if better at all.

He has one year left on his contract with Charlotte. I agree he would be better (and cheaper) than Rice for the Rockets.

He will actually be that Matt Bullard Happy Hour Wed. July 24th at Jillians on I-10 near silber if you want to ask him in person any of these questions. We'll be on the 2nd floor near the banquet room.
