You are printing COPYRIGHTED INFORMATION at the top of the screen and have banned the name of the source of it just because apparently some jerky kids ran around flooding the board? If you mods aren't stupid, I assume you know that kids do that kind of thing sometimes to INTENTIONALLY make it look like they are "with" a site, just so the sites will fight with each other. If some kids flooded and yelled "insideh00ps" they are obviously just idiots who don't represent htat site, they could have been yelling ANY site, they are just losers, to BAN A WEBSITE because some kids who have nothing to do with the website yelled stuff is insane!!!!! And a pretty big slap in the face to those who ARE with the site, actually.

    onetwo88,

The site is not banned. Good grief. This thread would be deleted if that were the case. Clutch is just tired of people posting advertisements in their signatures, and the people who run such sites often place their URL in their signature, and they often use cc.net threads to drive traffic to their site. They have been warned over and over to stop it. That rule holds for any solicitation of for-profit sites in signatures.

Do you realize the Clutch got his original site name stolen from him by a for-profit site right when the Internet started booming? Clutch does this completely out of pocket, largely by himself, so he is somewhat annoyed with for-profit sites exploiting his BBS, or, worse imo, readers of those sites spreading their completely false rumors about the Rockets on this BBS. I for one, don't mind in the least, even though it is somewhat overkill and probably ineffective to filter their site names.

    Ease up

Watching the "highlights" of the game were pretty amazing. Davis was tearing it up. Whether it was making amazing passes or throwing down even more amazing dunks; he was easily the best player on the court that day.

Kobe did do a nasty dunk in the game. He was coming down on the left side and did a wind mill dunk that brought the crowd to its feet.

I was kinda suprised with Cuttino Mobley, the only time I heard his name was when they were saying, "Cuttino Passes..." or "the Cat passes it to StarMarbury, StarMarbury passes it to the Cat, the Cat has it stolen..."

    Great game.

They just showed a replay of that game & I saw Cuttino being interviewed after it was all done. Cat's nickname is "Gets Buckets" and he said he was somewhat nervous in the first half, but supposedly he settled down and was happy with his play in the 2nd half, and his team won. (Fat Joe's Terror Squad beat Jarule'sMurder Inc.)

onetwo88: If you know who isn't paying you, they should be...

Just a rundown of your 21 posts (I replaced the site link with the word LINK in each one to save from the ********):

Look at this, *********** says that MOOCHIE NORRIS and kobe were there tonight and played, and that they'll write a recap tomorrow about it -- LINK WAS HERE

In the thread "Various Mock Drafts":

    ***********.com just updated theirs: LINK

and their perm draft page is LINK

    Another Mock Draft Thread

    An excellent mock draft: LINK

After looking what every professional site I know of (espn, cnnsi, ***********, basketballnews, foxsports, sportingnews)...

    From the Trade Rumor thread:

A great link to keep tabs on this stuff: LINK to guess where

From YOUR thread "***********.com nba draft players":

    They updated them finally-- LINK

From the thread: "What's Your Favorite Website":

    My favorite NBA site: LINK

For rumors, news, opinions and cool stuff

So, out of 21 posts, the vast majority have been to discuss this website and you can't figure out why the link is now banned. Your posts sound like spam emails people get for Herbal Viagra or Work from Home!

If you want to actually talk basketball, great. But, if all you are going to do is come in here and pimp for some other sports website, what do you expect?

wow, Jeff, and I was trying to give him a fair shake.

onetwo88, you are pimping a for-profit site by posting link advertisements at a site with traffic. This is a very common behavior of internet communities trying to draw people to their site, by sending out moles to post links. Get lost!!!

Kobe Bryant, Jerome Williams & Moochie Norris Visit Harlem, New York for Some Streetball at Rucker Park

New York City's Rucker Park hosts the most fun streetball imaginable. Thursday night, the Entertainer's Basketball Classic (EBC), the park's main summer league, presented a matchup of Murda Inc. against The Source, with some very special guests in action as well. Inside Hoops (.com) founder Jeff Lenchiner was in the house to take in the action.

On one team, Mr. Los Angeles himself, Kobe Bryant. He showed up early, and his squad was ready to go for the 6pm tipoff. Things were delayed, because the other team was late. It was worth the wait, because when they did arrive, Moochie Norris of the Houston Rockets, Jerome Williams of the Toronto Raptors and Maryland's Byron Mouton were with them.

    It was on, Harlem-style.

Two non-NBA players who showed nice skills were "Prime Objective" and Greg Jones.

All night, Moochie Norris kept firm control of the ball and threw some beautiful passes. As the game progressed, the showmanship he displayed increased. On fast breaks, "Muh-muh-muh-muh-Moochie" kept things fun, going behind the back, faking one way and throwing no-look passes the other. Norris unleashed showmanship we don't get to see him display on the Rockets.

And, for those who keep score at home, Norris' famous afro was contained, and braided. Maybe he'll unleash it next time.

Jerome Williams showed outside touch, and some surprising dribbling ability.

The true star of the evening, Kobe Bryant, had a tense look on his face, but loosened up as the night progressed. Early on, his teammates were not taking full advantage of the fact that he was on their team. Fortunately, as the game progressed, he got the ball more often. Early on, when he did have the ball, and multiple defenders focused too tightly on him, the live announcer yelled "No double teams! No double teams!" - correctly pointing out that the crowd wants isolations, which open up the possibilities for crazy moves and penetration for dunks.

    Some of Kobe's highlights:

    - In one play, Kobe was isolated on the right side of the court for a while, put on a nasty dribbling exhibition while playing to the crowd, drives to the basket, got bumped, but in mid-air pulled the ball under the basket for a beautiful reverse layup.

    - The very next play, Kobe dribbled, swung the ball behind his back, but then extended further and threw a no-look pass to a teammate for a layup.

    - Lots of drives with serious hang-time for layups - mostly reverses, similar to the first play above.

    - Sweet passes, including alleyoops from Kobe to his teammates.

    - A three-pointer from far beyond the line.

    - Fun dribbling exhibitions, showing off a few tricks, and a sick handle.

Kobe did blow one big play, an open fast break with no defenders back. He tried to go through the legs for the dunk, but blew it and missed. That drew some clowning from the sidelines.

All game long, a heckler that was under the basket Kobe was defending was talking trash, yelling that Bryant is overrated and not stepping up to play. He was loud, and everyone nearby could hear him. He even got Kobe's attention at one point and told him that he wasn't bringing it hard like he should. At one point, Hannibal, a Rucker announcer, went over to quiet the heckler down. When the second half began, and Kobe's team was now shooting at the basket near the heckler, Bryant began the half with the ball. A whistle stopped the action. The very next play, Kobe was working around the paint with the ball, cleared some room with an elbow, and then went up and threw down a nasty dunk that looked much better in person than it did on television highlights you may have seen. He then glared straight at the heckler, and starred at him while backstepping down the court. The crowd went nuts, pointing and talking trash at the heckler, who, for a few moments at least, seemed slightly humbled.

Steve Francis showed up during the game, but he's healing an injury, and was just there to hang out and watch. The crowd went nuts upon his arrival, chanting "Suit up!" like crazy, but it wasn't going to happen that night.

In summary, "Three Rings," as the live announcer called Kobe (almost everybody gets a nickname when they play at Rucker park), got far more comfortable as the game progressed. He didn't bring it hard all night, but produced some sweet plays that had everyone cheering. Kobe Bryant had 15 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists when the game got called in the second half on account of rain.

And, for those of you who pay attention to which sneakers basketball stars wear, as ***********.com originally reported (we posted an initial report with this info an hour after it happened, and other media sources who were not at the park magically learned the info and used it, yet didn't credit us - you suckers), Kobe was wearing Nike sneakers for the game. He currently has no shoe contract, as his relationship with Adidas recently ended. It's reported that Kobe was wearing Converse a few days earlier when walking around town.

After the game, ***********.com recorded these comments from Kobe Bryant: "The atmosphere was cool, it took me back to playing in Philadelphia, playing on the parks... There's no atmosphere like Rucker..."

"I had a good time, I look forward to coming down here again next time."

When asked if he had fun tonight, ***********.com recoreded these words from Kobe: "I had a lot of fun, you know, it's all about the game, coming out and playing, too bad it was raining..."

When asked about how the Lakers may feel about Kobe playing in a streetball game, Kobe said "They say be careful, they're really good about things like that... They just want you to be careful, and stay on your feet."

How much does Kobe know about Rucker history?"A lot," he said. "That's why I'm here today."

Rain did end this one early, but the night was fun while it lasted.

No one pays me or gives me anything, except at my job, which has nothing to do with sports or the internet, and no one sends me on the internet to do anything, either. I do contribute articles to a site or two sometimes, and so I like people seeing my articles, but it's as a fan.
