I think Head to Head is better for competetion but its not the best way to determine the true division winner. would you guys rather have Head to Head?
Head to head is better, IMO. I play in one with some guys I went to high school with and we only had 7 the first season we did it. We just had to use a bye each week. Last season, we had 10 and byes weren't a problem. So, moe, I think you need to let one more person in.
I think it greatly diminishes the value of streaky players. Who would you rather have? Player A: 10, 10, 10, 12, 8, 9, 11, 10, 10, 10 Player B: 1, 2, 1, 36, 5, 5, 20, 28, 1, 1 In a total points league it doesn't matter because they both end up scoring the same # of points: 100. In a head to head league, though, I'd take player A every time.

It wins you three games, while the other might just make you an average team. Other players can pick up the slack if a player only has, say 5 big games out of 10.

It may win you 3, but it loses you seven. With consistent players, you have a chance to win every week, which is important in head to head.
