I just wish Brooks would just tell everyone to clear out and go 1-on-1 in the middle of the court instead of dribbling all the way to the basket, getting up in the air in shotblocker territory, and forcing a pass to someone. If he would just iso in the middle and stop and pop for a midrange jumper, that would be great.
our team is just lacking that consistent clutch performance from someone. The Tmac trade or expiry after this season is really the key to that guy
I didnt say we suck. And battier is doing his part by what? shutting who down? rebounding what? how many points? not camping (you took that literally)? All the blame goes to ariza is f-ing ridiculous while shane gets a free unlimited pass all the time.
i watch this game by webtv, so bad a game!! the black 2 mins...... do not blame NOU, just think how could it be happen, some time rox lead 7 points, then what rox do after that? this result is made by rox itself, no others.
Lowry did not stink it up `12 6 and 5 in 25 minutes is freaking great if he played 40 minutes he might have had a triple double, Is it just me or am i the only one who is noticing that Landry is gettinh no calls for the last couple of games. You can say Landry stunk it up but at least half of his six fouls were total bs
Who were the referees last night, I want to compare them to the Denver crew that called all the offensive fouls on him. DD
I think they were new referees. Calls were bad in the 4th quarter, I think they are picking on Landry. He does whine a lot though in game so I'm not surprised.
Officials: Eric Lewis , Mike Callahan , James Williams from last night's game: Link to boxscore From the Denver game where Landry was called for lots of offensive fouls Officials: Michael Smith , Kane Fitzgerald , Tom Washington Link to Denver game From the Portland opening night game: Officials: Derrick Collins , Monty Mccutchen , Rodney Mott Link to boxscore These are the three games I can recall that Landry got called for multiple offensive fouls... I was hoping to find a referee correlation but it looks like 3 differrent crews. DD
I read through some of this thread and it seems that people are overreacting to one loss. we still have a good record and the team is much better than what most of us expected as the season started. I'm not surprised we lost last night. New Orleans is a much better team than their record indicates, and they play well on their home court. I thought the Rockets played well last night until the final few minutes. At the end of the game things just didn't go our way, it happens sometimes. If you look at the stats from this game you see that we shot the ball well and were not really outplayed by the Hornets except for the turnovers. Ariza had seven of those turnovers so I'm sure many will want to put the blame on him for this loss, and it may be deserved. But, the entire team couldn't execute those final few minutes, so I don't think Ariza should shoulder all the blame. I will say this about Ariza though. When the shot clock is winding down, we really don't want the ball in Ariza's hands. I'm hoping that any trade we make in the coming weeks will reduce Ariza's role as a ball handler. Last night was one loss on the road against a pretty good team. No need to panic.
People were panicking because we're in the same division as the NOH. That's why a win against the Grizz/Mavs/Spurs/NOH feels so good. It increases our chances at making the 'offs (even at a division title) if we beat one of these teams.
We need Iggy or Butler now or we'll fall out the playoffs. Something big needs to happen before it's to late and the season is lost.
