Except we have Mills International record and the comments by NBA all-stars about how good he is. He will get his chance just like all those players. I will be watching and hoping he proves me right.
You're right, he'll get his chance. I never said otherwise. I'm just saying it's still totally up in the air as to what he does with that opportunity. I don't think there is enough information at this point between his D-League performances, his international play and the comments of Team USA members to say whether he'll be a bust or a great player or somewhere in between. We still know next to nothing until he logs significant minutes in the NBA. It sounds like you're a big Mills fan. I hope things work out for him.
 I was expecting to hear from you in this thread: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=179358
The injury curse left us and went to Portland. All thanks to Yao Ming the father, T-mac(*) the son and Steve Francis(*) the holy spirit. (*) Martyrs Oh and about Yao, and on the third season (of adelman's tenor) he rose again all this aside poor Portland, hey Lets grab Roy he can dribble!
Wow Portland keeps getting hurt or sick every game. It's not just the players either. Even the coaches can't stay healthy.
??? Why do so many posters on this forum keep on saying this??? Houston wasn't entitled to Roy, or Rudy. Give it up, already.
Why do people on this board have such terrible memories? Do you not remember when the Rockets had only 7 people to suit up for a game, *including* d-leaguers? You do not remember the massacre at Toyota center, after which Dirk proclaimed "injuries are no excuse, you still have to come to play"? I do, because that was the day I started to hate Dirk. Here's a list of the players that suited up for the Rockets that fateful season (number of games played): Rafer Alston (63) Derek Anderson (20, out of league) Jon Barry (20, retired) Lonny Baxter (23, out of league) Keith Bogans (33) Ryan Bowen (68) Rick Brunson (23, retired) Josh Davis (1, out of league) Richie Frahm (8, out of league) Stephen Graham (6) Chuck Hayes (40) Luther Head (80) Juwan Howard (80) Maciej Lampe (4, out of league) John Lucas III (13, out of league) Tracy McGrady (47) Yao Ming (57) Dikembe Mutombo (64, retired) Moochie Norris (29, out of league) Stromile Swift (66, out of league) David Wesley (71, retired) Not a single player made it through the season. Head and Howard came close, to the chagrin of many a fan.
Oh I remember which is why I asked him if he was a new fan when he wrote that he had never "seen a team plagued by so many injuries. Not even Houston." I remember Wesley saying they used to get tired going to the pre-game layup line because of the lack of bodies and McGrady joking about the injury bug and how even Richie Frahm got hurt in the 8 days he was on the roster when he had never been hurt before in his life. They are having a very similar start to our injury bug season of 05-06. To say they are having it worst than Houston ever has? I disagree. I think because their season hasn't reached the half way point yet, the potential is there for Portland to continue the trend.
I haven't seen any games, but Jeff Pendergraph (rookie from Arizona State) has had impressive numbers in the last 5 games, particularly on the boards. Anyone who has seen some games care to give a scouting report?
Dam I didn't care for Portland's injuries at first but now I really feel sorry for them. Not even the year we lost most of our player is as bad as this.
