Is there any insight, as in stuff we don't already know or juicy details on things we are aware of?

its tongue in cheek, the guy's name is Bill Simmons. Great find Carl. What do you guys think of their trade proposal? Manu, Jefferson+filler for Tmac and Battier? No way we do that straight up...but if they say they'll give us Dejuan Blair for our draft pick next year, do you take it?

    Wait.
You wouldn't trade T-Mac and Batman for Manu, filler (draft pick?) and Richard Jefferson.
Really? I mean, really? I would jump over that before you could say "go."

they didn't say anything about a draft pick. They just said Tmac + Battier for Manu and Jefferson straight up. IIRC Manu makes the same amount as Batman and Jefferson only makes around 10-12 a year. Salaries probably won't match up so I added the filler part.

One interesting tidbit is that Marc Stein, who covers Dallas pretty extensively, pretty much counted out Houston from getting Chris Bosh, saying it's probably too close to his hometown, and he has never shown a single iota of interest in coming to Houston.

I secretly think that Bill Simmons wants to see Bosh and Yao together, to see if two second-banana superstars can win the title, and so that the LeBron-Wade-Bosh-Paul Superteam never becomes a reality, and crushes Boston's chances for another title from Garnett-Pierce-Allen-Rondo.

Marc Stein can suck it. He's still a Dallas beat writer as far as I'm concerned.

LOL I doubt it. Having our role players, Yao and Bosh together will pretty much guarantee the Big 3 will never win another ring. Hell, with just Bosh here with our group of guys I think we can win another title even without Yao

Wrong. That guy misquoted Stein. What Stein actually said was that he would never come to Dallas because it is too close to his home in Texas. He never mentioned Houston once.

Too many distractions? Too many moochers looking for a free ride? IDK.
