This is old news. But having said that it does wear thin and makes the NBA a joke. Basically the last few minutes of all NBA games are rigged to favor the "stars". A foul is a foul and for the game to have any integrity is has to be called consistently at all times. Stern needs to address this issue or step aside and let Vince McMahon to run the whole damn thing.

Guess what folks. Bob Delaney was also one of the refs for the infamous game 6 of the 2002 Lakers and Kings series. The guy is shady.

My impression too: calming him down, trying to prevent the technical foul.

That's what it looked like to me also. And the trainers and coaches were just trying to hurry up and get everyone in the huddle to discuss their next play. No big deal.

I said this exact same thing just before AB drove it inside (I talk to the TV a lot during games). He's done it at least 5 times over the last 6 weeks in late game situations and only gotten a foul call one time. AB will rarely have the strength to fight through those fouls on the last play of the game.

    STOP AND POP!!!!!

That was a funny post. I noticed it, too.

    Maybe it went like this...

Ariza: Dude, I was wide open.
    Brooks: I know.

So true. I remember I once met Colin Pine and got to talk to him about Rockets rumors. I reported it on the board, disclosing that what I heard was from Pine (nothing was controversial or secret) and there were still people who ripped me apart. Colin frickin' Pine.

Like a lot of people said earlier it looked like he was calming him down. If it was heated I'm sure someone would have got in between them.

Its not worth posting info most of the time because some posters will just tell you that you are wrong...an idiot... etc...

any insider could never reveal themselves as the rockets are very anti leaks

I assumed Ariza was just telling Brooks to calm down since Brooks was PISSED off at the refs and was in position to get a tech.

    ^^^

In that particular pic, it looks like a big brother giving advice to a younger brother, even though Brooks is actually a few months older than Ariza.

I guess you could say it's a vet trying to impart some words of wisdom.

As long as he doesn't swing an elbow at him, I think it's all good.

Ariza: What do you think you is doing Brooks?
Brooks: I was aggressively taking it to the hole.
Ariza: No, you pass it to me down the stretch from now on.
Brooks: BUT YOU SHOOT BRICKS EVERY SINGLE TIME.
Ariza: Would you rather me direct those bricks at your face?
Brooks: *Nods and sits down calmly*

Whatever he was saying, I hope Brooks didn't listen...any advice Trevor could give would be pretty worthless right now.

    My thoughts, exactly...

I just didn't want to say it like that and appear as a Trevor-hater...because I'm not...I just don't think he's in a position to be getting on to anybody right now...

And I don't think that he has anything to say that somebody on the coaching staff or someone else can't say...

Guy played under a good coach on a championship team. His play has been poor but that doesn't mean he might not have decent ideas and wisdom to pass out. Some NBA coaches were not great basketball players... does not mean they know less than say Kobe Bryant about basketball.

I think it is unwise to send the tape to the league office and complain about the incidents anymore. At the end of the day, we won the game, let's admit that **** happens and shake it off.

It is not the first time our team is on the unfortunate side of bad officiating and it will not be the last time, filing a complaint or not. Last thing you would want to do is to infuriate the referees and have them targeted team Rockets.

Last time I checked from National Geographic channel, zebras have long term memory.
