Is there anything out there I can do to make this easier?

My wife spends 3 hours everytime she cleans, cleaning the pet hair off our navy blue couch. We have a fawn pug so the white/yellow. We have a really nice vacuum cleaner but even using the attatchments, it doesn't get it. She has to DETAIL the couch with a rubber bristled handbrush.

Slipcovers just do NOT stay put....

    Any tips for us?

this works wonders. you can get it amazon. worth every penny. 15 minutes of using it, you'll have a big ball of dead hair removed. make sure you do it outside. this has kept hair inside to a minimum. i have a 70 lbs lab who sheds everyday. there's not much to pick up ever since i bought this:

    Quality, leather furniture.

I have two dogs. One is a husky-mix but she sheds like a pure husky. This is the only way to go.

In fact, it's all leather furniture and tile/wood floors for me from here on out.

If you can't get leather furniture invest in a dirty devil or some mini-vacuum you can run over the furniture every other day or so.

I saw this lady once carrying her pooch in a bag. I wanted to ask if it duked inside.

I agree that the Furminator works well. I initially resisted buying it b/c it's like 25 bucks for a freaking brush, but it is actually worth it.

Also, it just depends on your couch. Our dog sheds everywhere (now decreased with the Furminator) but the fur does not really stick to the couch. It's not leather either...some sort of sturdy cloth...something we got from Ikea for not that much money...but it is nice enough, comfortable, and the pets cannot destroy it and the fur does not cling to it.

*I enjoy having the pets sit on the couch with me, so the nice leather option is ruled out.

Next time upgrade to a non-shedding dog - like a miniature schnauzer. I will admit - pugs are pretty awesome though.

get an oversized couch throw. Cover your couch in the throw. When it accumulates a lot of hair, take the throw out and beat it and then wash it. Problem solved.
