    Any news on Geln Rice?

The last that I heard about Glen Rice was that he was injured during a regular season game. Has he recovered or something? And what role will he play when he returns?

    i heard 40+, but its non-pro.

he should be able to get about 15 for us, but that is if he is a top 3 option.

the way i see it is, we have steve cat and moT. rice as a 4th option may get about 10 points but thats better than last year.

Also he was playing pretty good defense and rebounding well before he got injured if I remember correctly. The Rockets will be much better this coming season with a healthy Francis, Rice, MoT, and our number 1 picks. Nets were most improved team last year right? I'll make a bet with anybody in here if the rocks stay healthy they will be the most improved team by the end of next season. ;)

If Rice is a contributer we can bet it'll mean something. Rice is not the type of guy to get the last second, we already won/lost basket. Of all our players, Glen's potential intrigues me the most.

Potential impact...I agree that a healthy Rice can do a lot for our team.

But Yao's impact will be more visual...being 7'6" in the middle. It'll be tough to miss him.

But I beleive Rice has on and off the court contributions to make.

thank you krosfyah! I didn't say the man needed to play a whole career here. One year, that's it. Also, he was one of the best players in the NBA once upon a time. He also has playoff experience and has won a championship. I know he wasn't the star of that team, but he saw how it all worked.

I'm pleased to hear you say that. I thought our team defense was pretty good when Rice ( as well as Rice and Williams playing together) was playing. I consider him (them)a poor defender, but I guess that is why vetrans got to that position.
