I don't know what their deal is, but the officials in these games are so clearly fellating Dirk Nowitzki that it's unbelievable.

Can you imagine if Yao had shoved a player out of bounds? Hell, if Yao had even been CLOSE to a player in that circumstance (replace Shane with, say, Howard chasing a loose ball to the sideline), the ref would have blown the whistle and you'd get the Dallas Faggericks high-fiving each other as they prepare for free throws.

If Josh Howard (in this scenario, playing the role of Carl Landry) had transferred his teeth into Yao's (Dirk's role) elbow, Yao would have been whistled for the foul, and the Faggericks would have shot free throws.

If not for Blonde Jesus and his three zebra-suited disciples out there on the floor, you wouldn't have a near-fracas every game.

they've had this type of conversation before dealing with last second plays

My guess is ariza telling brooks don't forget you got guys on the perimeter/3 pt line to kick out to instead of driving all the way if the defense collapses on you.

Ariza and Lowry were open on the 3 line when AB was driving, but if I were the Mavs I'd leave those guys open also.

That's okay. I'm sure Cuban will file another protest on that Terry hit.

Trevor was telling Aaron to calm down. If they were to call the foul on that last drive for Aaron then they were going to call a foul on Terry's drive.

    So it "evened" out.

Trevor does a good job trying to teach his teammates what it takes to close games. He feel likes he has that needed knowledge from the championship run last year.

Be careful Clutch. Don't make the NBA force YouTube to cancel your account again. You know how they don't like to be criticized, however right you may be.

My biggest grief in watching NBA basketball since the 50s, yeah I'm that old, is how games are officiated late 'let the player's decide the game' = 'let thuggery happen'.

The Terry call was indicative, to me, that it was not bias just incompetence.

wow thats as bad as it gets...the nba should really look at how that could have impacted the season series, the playoff positioning etc.

No, he probably won't. The NBA won't just watch that part of the game, methinks.

I think the NBA will also watch the last 3-4 minutes of the game to get to Terry's part, and by then, they'll see all the Dallas fouls.

What's amazing to me about Shane's T, is that it came after he was already turned and walking down to the other end of the court. I mean, you let the guy vent for 20 seconds over the play (which I thought was a good officiating move since it was an emotional game and he was not showing up the officials) but then to T him up after the fact was ridiculous.

(Shane gets pushed and Dellany conveniently misses it, calling Battier out of bounds)

Shane - "I got pushed!!! I got pushed!!!!"

Dellany's brain - "Duuuuuum, Shane mad. It's OK, he should be after that call. HarHarHar!"

Shane (slapping heads together) - "Come on!!"

(Battier turns and walks five feet the other way, heading back down the court)

Dellany's brain - "Uuuuuuum, OH YEA!!! That there could satisfy rule #2 on the mandate for this game.... Give unnecessary technical on Rockets in final minutes. Uuuuum!! Blow whistle before too late!!!!!"

(Dellany blows whistle and gives Battier a technical foul. Shane walks back to Dellany)

Shane - "Baby, baby, baby. What did I do to get a technical there?"

Dellany - "Sorry Battier, but we have to listen to Stern, er I mean, we have to be more stern when players yell. Cuban says, er, YOU'VE BEEN very disrespectful in your actions."

    I'd think so.

For Stern, trouble makers like cuban are pretty annoying and sometimes throw him a candy just to keep him quiet.

    where did you hear this?

i was fortunate enough to have floor seats to this game, and it seemed like ariza was calming down brooks to make sure he didn't do something stupid. judging by the look on aaron's face after that call up to when he ran off the court after the game it's a good thing he did.

I think that's exactly what happened, they swallowed their whistles and did not want to be involved in the decision of the game.

i have a feeling he was telling him the same thing he was telling him in the last situation he drove the lane in the closing seconds expecting a call.

IT IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!

Arron needs to fake the drive and stop and pop or kick the ball out. THe refs swallow the whistles in closing seconds on drives to the hoop, Thats just they way it is and probably the way it always will be in the nba.

That wasn't intesnse at all. He was telling Aaron this:

"Hey listen man, when you penetrate, don't forget about us, just pass it out when there are too many people in there."

Given the way he was pointing, I think that is what happened as well. Although, I think you are right, the officials just gave Shane a Tech, so everyone seemed like they were trying to keep Aaron from blowing up because the look on his face was that he might be less then 8 seconds away from doing so.

    Agreed.

I would make a compilation of all the NON-calls on Aaron Brooks and send them in.

He is this year's Yao Ming...he gets no respect...he should be LIVING at the line......
