There's no way we do this unless we also get Young or Speights. We're definitely not getting Iguodala though.

that's what we would want, but not what philly would do. They arent giving up AI because that's the only realy go to guy they have, the other AI is only a temporary thing. They give up Iggy and dalembert and they have nothing but an expiring in tmac, sounds nice, but far from sure thing this free agency period. Too risky for them when they already have a nice young player in Iggy.

And speights is their back up center, trading speights AND dalembert leaves them without a center and we dont hve a center to give to them. Also, they may have more confidence and may value speights more because he was beating out dalembert for minutes earlier this year and producing before he got injured.

Young and Speights or any deal with Iggy is something we would have to consider.

what makes you think they wont? they are headed to the lottery and there's no such thing as a go to guy if all you do is lose games. They also have Lou Williams.

the trade would alow them to get under the cap and be players for next years FA market.

Iggy is not making mid level money either he's almost overpaid. Brand is the worst contract in the NBA so he's out of the question. Phli is in a bad place and sometimes that requires bad moves.

the ironic thing is, he became a Canadian citizen to play on the national team , only to be kicked off like 2 weeks after for lack of commitment lmao

I don't understand this? We gave up garbage for Pippen (regardless of how it worked out), not much for TMac. The Lakers got Pau as a gift. I don't think that its NOT possible. In fact its exactly the type of deal that Morey is looking for. Yeah you have to take on Dalembart (sp?) but you get Iggy in return. A young player with great all-round tools, exactly what this team could use and the type of deal Morey is on record saying he is looking for. Wether its Phili, NO, Minny, whomever it is... we take on their contracts but only for a younger player who figures into our future plans.

I see a bunch of posts with people making the trade for the sake of making a trade. That's whats NOT gonna happen. Morey will get SOMETHING/someone of value or just won't deal at all. Fortunately for us there are some teams that could be in the shape the Grizzlies were when they shipped Pau to the Lakers for a bag of chips.

It all depends on if Philli think Iggy will be part of their next Championship team. Let's say they had Tracy from us and gave up Iggi and Dalembert.

    Speights
    Brand
    McGrady
    Williams
    Iverson

    Bench:
    T. Young
    J. Smith
    Brezec
    Kapono
    Holiday
    Green
    Carney

Add to that a top 5 draft pick, unless Tracy makes a remarkable contribution to their team. They then get cap room to make a play at some other pieces through Free Agency.

They can also choose to not spend during this off-season, but hold their cap space and wait untill Brand's contract comes off of the books. If their current crop of young guys develop and the draft well, by the time Brand is finished with them, they could be one signing away from a serious contender.

So long story short, too late. If they think Iggi will be part of their next Champions caliber team they will hold on to him. If they don't, they would be more incline to trade him.

Dalembert has zero skills outside of rebounding and shot-blocking. He would never work in RA's offense. At least Chuck can pass.

What is RA offense? The Princeton offense. From what I understand, Philli run a similar offense. If Chuck Hayes can fit within the offense so can Dalembert.

Dalembert has zero intelligence. He will not fit. But he expires next year. If we could get Iggy and Speights, it would be worth taking him on. We can trade him next year for more assets the same way we are doing mcGrady now.

Why would you take on Dalembert's contract - even if for only one more season - when we've got David Andersen? I mean, isn't that what he's for (back up for Yao)? Even Chuck could be a third string choice for Yao/Andersen if necessary (obviously as he's our current starter center).

Unless Igoudala is packaged with him, Philly can keep Dalembert as far as I'm concerned.

Tracy is a huge contract. You will not get any quality without taking something bad from another team.

There is ZERO chance we get Speights and Iggy from Philli.

All the scenarios I've posted have both in there.
