[NBA.com] McGrady's popularity complicates West All-Star choices

Keep voting, salary cutting teams will be like "ohh dam fool this kid can play 5 games and get voted into the all star games, all that fans, $$$"

tmac has said he won't play even if he's voted in. but can you imagine if he rocks some type of jersey courtside when he's there?

but also sad the state of the situation.

 

I think that the starters should be chosen by the coaches, while the bench players should be chosen by the fans.

 

All-star =/= popularity, therefore I think the current system is flawed.

 

It would be cool if McGrady isn't traded by the ASG, then decides he should play to showcase himself, then scores a bunch of points and wins MVP...then is promptly traded for twice his previous value.

 

Looks like Cubans whinging as paid off yet again for the Mavs.
