Duncan has really fallen off this year? He's about one point and one rebound off his career averages while shooting career highs from the field and the free throw line. He's also playing under 32 minutes per game, so he'll be more rested come playoff time than he has been in a while.

Agreed. I want to play against any team that has T-Mac on it in the first round.

Hard to say, I believe every series we play in will be very difficult.

I'd want to say Denver, but when you think about it . . . We'd be a favorable matchup for them, their bigs are athletic, their bench and guards are super athletic, they have Melo, and an all-world point guard. We can score with them, but I think we might have trouble stopping them in some games.

Portland is losing big men at the same rate, McDonald's is selling Big Macs. Yet, their team has alot of talent in the backcourt and Aldridge can be a handful. But, we can match them in offensive effort.

Then, there is Dallas, sometimes, it seems like are nearly even with them, while other times they look like a much superior team.

The Lakers are probably the toughest matchup on paper, because Kobe and their team's size. But, we seem to play very well against them for some reason. While, they seem to be very easily shaken when a team "punches them in the mouth" (maybe not Kobe and Artest). For us to pull off an upset, we'd find a way to limit Gasol and Bynum on both ends of the floor, which we can do. But, can we do it for 5-7 games to win an entire series? Maybe, since we came close last year. Also, I like have Ariza and Battier out there to guard Kobe, while our PG play (with Brooks/Lowry) is godly compared to the Lakers. For some odd reason, I would want them either in the 1st Round or WCFs.

Phoenix is probably the worst matchup for us, even moreso the Lakers. Our team can score, but not like that and we are going to have slow down Amar'e and Nash. Which I think is going to be difficult, not having the paint well protected.

    I'll chose Portland.

I think we match up really well with Phoenix - I think we'll finish ahead of them in the standings.

I'd probably want to avoid Denver in the playoffs (horrid matchup for us) and the Lakers (not only talented, but 'favoured').

I'd say that I wanted to avoid Dallas, but they are known to feel a bit of pressure in the playoffs, so that would be a fun series (with Terry averaging 38ppg)

I think the Rockets stand a good chance against SA. They're an older, more halfcourt oriented team which plays into the Rockets hands and they're only like 2-10 against .500 or better teams (although Houston was one of their 2 wins).

I'd like to play Portland and maybe San Antonio. The only issue with San Antonio is that Duncan doesn't look like he's falling off at all and, like someone else said, he's only playing 32 minutes a game this year, meaning he could give us fits in a playoff series.

You cannot be sure, If McGrady injuries himself before the PO there are big chances of that team making it past the first.

The Lakers and Nuggets are a problem with their oversized front lines. However, we kill any teams bench with Landry, Lowry, Anderson, Budinger, etc... Must force Gasol and Kenyon Martin to play D. Chuck plays awesome D, but will hurt us tremendously in these types of games with his lack of offense.

the lakers. matchup wise they cant stop AB and we always seem to do fairly well against them. plus, i think knocking them out would be satisfying enough even if we don't win a championship.
