What would it take to get him? Do we even want him? What's his contarct like? I loved his game with the Bucks and although he slipped a little the last couple of years, I think he can turn it around. He's 6'11", young, and has a decent jumper. Isn't that what we're looking for. I've heard many rumors that he is being shopped. The Bucks, baby! He was with the Bucks. Yeah, he's good, but the dude has issues. If he can get to the level he was at in Mil., we go to the playoffs next year. ------------------
I knew I had it wrong. Thanks for the correction. I forgot it was a 3-way trade. ------------------ "Stranger things have happened, but none stranger than this" - Commentator after a parachutist landed in the ring of a Holyfield fight
Come on, that was pretty weak for #1001 ------------------ "Stranger things have happened, but none stranger than this" - Commentator after a parachutist landed in the ring of a Holyfield fight
Baker's contract compared to his production is in the neighborhood of Quitten's and Cato's. ------------------ Cheaters never win. Unless you play for LA that is.
Rocketsauce, Number 1000 was in the Golden State thread, it was a worthy subject. I don't want a depressed Vin Baker on my team. Personally, I think Payton is the one that destroyed his confidence. Payton is a great player, but a CRAPPY teammate. DaDakota ------------------
Vin Baker's game has regressed in so many areas over the past few seasons mainly due to his balooning waistline and lack of confidence. Ever since the Sonics got destroyed in the playoffs a few yrs back by the Lakers, Baker's game has gone downhill. Will he be able to return to his Milwaukee form? Who knows but I doubt it. His scoring, rebounding, foul shooting and defense have regressed so much in the last few seasons. Also, to top it off, he just inked a 7 yr 86.6 mil contract last summer. Seattle would be begging the Rockets to give the 9th pick for him. His performance relative to his contract makes Cato's look like chump change. ------------------ Check out the Best Source for Draft Info Draftsource.net [This message has been edited by MManal (edited June 07, 2000).]
I guess from the positive response this Vin has gotten in this thread, the answer is..... No way in hell? Just curious, I had no idea his contract was that bad. I guess that's good for us, since Seattle will have trouble adding players through FA. Dadakota, Congratulations on the 1000. I thought I'd pick a weak arguement with you in order to get myself over 100. ------------------ "Stranger things have happened, but none stranger than this" - Commentator after a parachutist landed in the ring of a Holyfield fight
