please. I bet your the kind of person that bases his all-star value on the "all-star" game. We both know, and so does Tracy and AI that the all-star game does not determine who are the real ballers.
A three team deal, where Philli get a new point guard witout us having to give Lowry or Brooks. Houston receive: Iggi + Dalembert Philli receive: Tracy + Cook + Sessions T-Wolves receive: Taylor + Jrue holiday Phill get expiring contracts and a point guard, while the T-Wolves get some more youth and we get our 2 guard and center. I think the only issue is what Minnesota get out of it.
What do you guys think about this trade? Would Philly or Houston do it? Would you? Salaries match so that will not be an issue. I like this trade because we get ride of T-MAC, Trevor (which I thought was a mistake to sign for five years) and bunch of scrubs, and we get Iggy, a solid backup center with a two year contract. Brand would be a harder contract to swallow but he has been playing great as of late and I believe with him being on a team with playoff contention he would be more motivated to stay healthy. And above all we would not be small anymore. Forget about contracts for a minute, but why add brand when we have Scola and Landry working well?Unless we are worried one or both of them will leave for more money.
why are people so afraid of dalembert? yes, he's overpaid. but the contract ends next year! same year that yao's contract comes off the books. he's a legit center who averages 8 rebounds and 2 blocks per game.
I believe one could be lost one they are free agents, and second I believe Landry with his athelitism can play 3 (wing player) off the bench.
When Iverson is on the court he plays well under an offensive system that is similar to ours. The Princeton offense. I think he may improve more with us.
Can you at least explain why you think it wouldn't be possible? Very easy to just say yah or nah without an explanation.
There's no way Philly would ever give up SPeights in trade deal.. He's too productive for the amount of money he's making. NO to Kapono - the overpaid/glorified Steve Novak. NO to BRAND - ScoLandry combo is working fine. We dont need another "has been" on this team.
I just don't think taking Dalembert gets it done. It's a definite risk, but I think Iguodala is a near perfect addition to this team. Re-signing our current players become more difficult down the line, but not impossible. It really depends on Les.
Just posting this on probably the correct thread from the Conroy one. You know thinking about this even more I can actually see DM moving AB instead.. Philly would have to bite if we offered AB + T-mac for Iggy + Dalembert. Here me out on this.. But I thought Will Conroy was the better of the 3 during his short stint in the off season to break down the defense and find the open shooter. Yes AB is faster and has a better shot but we are not needing a shooter in the PG spot if we are going to get Iggy. Distribution of Shot attempts have to go to Iggy because he is an efficient scorer. Personally I would pull the trigger because what Philly offers plugs a lot of holes for this team and we can get Conroy from the D-league. Not to mention the fact that during DM interview he said nobody is untouchable after a caller specifically stated AB, Battier, Scola AB is dispensable if we get the right pieces.. DD what do you think about this?
I don't know if they'd REALLY give up Iggy in a deal just to dump Dalembert, if so, that's a deal we probably have to do. I could see them more inclined in a Brand deal, but I'd still think they'd want something back on our end. Brand's contract is terrible, and he wouldn't even serve a use, because at this point, I'd much rather have Scola, and Landry, and that's not even taking into account contracts.
