I would venture to say that his rings DO give him the authority to call out a younger player. That's what good leaders do.

I mean the man's nick name around the League is Charmin. I think that tells you a bit about how he is thought of around the league. I mean during the Rockets/Utah playoff a few years back, Boozer constantly made fun of T-mac needing to go to the sideline and get his shoulders rubbed.

Horace Grant won 4 rings and went to the Finals 5 times. How many playoff series has tmac won again?

Horace Grant was a three time champion with the Bulls. McGrady is not even worthy to clean his shoes. Grant was among the three most significant Bulls players who stood up to the bullying tactics of the Pistons Bad Boys so don't even dare to diss him for your loser. If he called McGrady lazy he knew what he was talking about after the wars he spent with Jordan against the best of the best. It was a time when Magic, Bird, The Bad Boys, Barkley, Hakeem, Drexler, Reggie Miller, Robinson, Stockton and Malone were lording it over the NBA. Those were very tough times in the NBA and to be a champion really meant something.

This creep of a loser called Tracy had the nerve to do that to Grant and the Magic organization suckers obliged. Well Tracy's suckers were socked later on by this creep anyway so it serves all of them right. Grant went on to win more rings with the Lakers, and Tracy? He is still a loser after 11 years in the league and waiting for the next sucker team to pay him more money and feed his ego. I hope the NBA has finally wisened up to this creep and throw him to a hellish limbo like Marbury.

This is pure gold coming from a supporter of McGrady.

Horace Grant might not have been effective on defense during the time but I can tell you it wasnt due to lack of effort. You said it yourself, "his career was coming to an end."

LOL! Simply absurd statement! You McGrady nut-huggers will go to any length to protect your idol, whose career deservedly has been a failure.

Horace Grant was a professional. He played games to win. He came to play hard every night. He came from Bulls team which had won 3 rings of which he was a big part of. Slackers on Bulls were not tolerated. Jordan was pissed off at Pippen when he pulled out of game due to a migraine. Get the work ethic?

So excuse a guy who had always given effort and played with teammates that had given effort to see a star player like McGrady take nights off.

Grant was absolutely right in calling out McGrady. McGrady's failures year after year are a testament to that.

Horace Grant also played with Michael Jordan, the exact opposite of Tracy McGrady.

Playing with the real deal, you know when you smell a fake.

wow, i cant believe i just read that. you really think that is OK?! If what you say about his "natural" ability is true (which it isn't), then he would have been the greatest of all time if he applied himself fully as a player. and you are OK with the fact that he basically threw it all away?

T-Mac couldnt lick Kobe's shoes and doesnt even deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence. There was a time where I thought he could be as good as Kobe, but the past few years has shown us what we all know now: t-mac is a fraud and will never be what you clearly think he is.

i cant wait for him to gtfo.

The Tmac experience for the Raptor, Magic and Rockets has bee akin to a long, nasty nightmare. Eventually it goes away, but let you feeling really weird for a few days.

He definitely has a red dot amongst Rockets players.

Even the famous 99er's reps wouldn't be able to get him out of red dot land.

That douchey little drama queen gave us some of the most exhilarating moments of the last decade. Yeah, he's been whiny and disruptive these last two seasons, but he also made Shawn Bradley his b**** and beat the Spurs by himself for us. And that's not even mentioned when he put the team on his back during the last 12 games of the streak. Since the man is essentially gone, we might as well stop bashing him and actually appreciate the things he did for us.
