I have always been unsure about Ming. I dont want Cato to start at center anymore. Shaq wants to "put his elbow to his face" The Clippers r puttin wagers on which 1 will b d 1st 2 dunk on him. Can sum1 pls assure me that Ming is the best available choice. Thanx. DMWT.
I feel like he will need at least one year to get comfortable in the NBA. Look for many players too go after him this year. Many times, he may come out on the short end of the stick. Give him time to adjust and he will have the last laugh.
It will definitely take Ming some time to adjust. So we need to give him some time to adjust to the NBA. He will turn out fine.
The Clippers are out of date! The Center doesn't stand under the basket anymore! ( Rule Changes) and Yao is a Center that will be found defending all over the Court. Very difficult to dunk over a 7'6'' man 15' away from the basket!
It wasn't hard for the stiff they had him demonstrate against. Christionson I think. Was he even drafted? Personally I think Ming will be a defensive liability for several years. And that is in spite of several blocks I expect him to get each game. I hope I am wrong, but I fear that any mediocre wide body can back him down and dunk. I mean if that guy did in a controlled enviornment, why can't Ostertag or Montross or any other mediocre talent that every NBA team has on their bench. Man I hope I am wrong.
How can a man that stands 7-5 be a defensive liability? If he just stands there he will change many shots. Driving in on Ming may not be a wise thing to do. I'm sure the players will think twice about driving into a 296 pound tree.
