Well my PREDICATION is that Ming will definately alter some of Shaqs shot or make him change his mind about even taking them!
Shaq will probably dominate in Ming's first couple seasons. Then Ming will force him off the court and into a cop's uniform - where he will be an addition to either LAPD or the Village People.
No player can guard Shaq! Yao is a different type of Center to Shaq, he plays all over the court,he isn't the traditional type of Center. Shaq is the Monster in the middle all power and ready to destroy! Yao to be competitive with Shaq, must use his brains and take Shaq out of his Game.Shaq will not be able to defend the Sky Hook from a 7'6'' Yao. Yao must not play Shaq as a power player but concentrate on blocking his shots and getting out of Shaqs way and avoiding foul trouble. By the third season 04/05 Yao will show that brains are better than being a Monster.(see below}
I could see Yao guarding Horry and Cato guarding Shaq the first year lets see Horry get that entry pass into Shaq over Ming
