I feel ya, but didn't Clyde and may be Barkley retire with the Rockets. If only Clyde would retire from the commentating, then I would truly be happy. ;)

The way I understood it it was more because of Barkley.

The Hakeem thing took some time to repair. So there is a little something to that point but not enough to make his claims.

It's all good. As usual, all the people who don't want to hear another T-Mac thread or quote are the ones who flood those detested threads with excessive comments.

Oh well. I'll miss these targeted anti-T-Mac posts and based on the sheer volume so will many of you. ;)

No Drexler retired because he couldn't glide anymore. He missed a dunk against the Lakers that year.

When your nickname is the "GLYDE" and you can't dunk, it's time.

The Rockets are a 1st class organization, I wish we could have said the same about Tracy. If Tracy was a class act himself he would have been more excepted in Houston.

Les has been a outstanding owner. Does he tend to meddle too much? sure. Only because he cares, wants to win and of coarse is a business owner that wants a good product on the court. I really love that he will give the ok to pull a big move if he thinks it will make us win.

Players are told and prepare themselves mentally from day one, that the NBA is a business and that one day they "will" be traded. In fact, the only mistake IMO, the Rockets made was keeping Tracy here too long, and not trading him a couple of years ago when his value was considerably higher. There were rumors of a possible Tracy for Kobe, "trade winds" swirling around.

You use other examples of Barkley and Pippen that I won't even address...

Sure, it would have been nice to see Hakeem retire with his whole career in Houston. Sure, I was disgusted when Hakeem left, but it really was the best move for the franchise basketball wise. What would have been truly perfect is if Hakeem would have said I would rather retire a "Rocket" than wear other colors. But, He still wanted and felt as if he could play NBA level basketball, and I respect that. My gut tells me he regrets that one season in Toronto.

Examples of Shannon and Jackson? Really?....?...

    Quote:
"Les Alexander is a great owner but indeed a very shady and double faced business man."
-Apparently you are a employee and not employer..

    Quote:
"Adelman never truly gave T-Mac a chance." Really??
-IMO Tracy messed up every opportunity he got. Les is the one the loved Tracy and wanted him here to begin with and Tracy messed that up too.

Finally it seems this Tracy saga is over, kind of like getting rid of a crazy girlfriend.

    Thank you! Rockets

    ?????
He went to Orlando to be the man, not to live the glory days, he went to Houston to win a Championship with Yao not to live the glory days and now Houston don't want him to play him.

    I don't see your point.

I think one thing that needs to be cleared up is this notion that superstars don't want to come here.
1- there are only so many to go around and most get to their teams through the draft or via trade. List the "superstars" and think about how they got there. Others, the ones that have been around the block, start to look for teams that give them the best chance to win a ring and may then take a cut just to win the ring. 2- If you look at the Rockets since post Barkley/Drexler we have had one bad contract after another. I'm sure we all can recite the many long term overpaid contracts CD gave and that has strapped us over and over again. Matt Maloney anyone? Cato? Walt Williams? Glen Rice? Maurice Taylor? For years the best we could do is offer mid-level and what "superstar" wants that?

So finally, after years and years of never having money to spend to attract a big name, we will at the end of the season if we don't aquire yet another long term deal with this T-Mac fiasco.

Sorry it was in two parts...

Man this will be TMacs' third NBA team... (This is his 3 trade request.)

Wow he is really following the AI/SF3 career plan. ( Players should know when they are done. )

    hope this helps...

Well AI is old and SF3 was a non factor a few year before he hang the glove. In the other hand a player like Grant Hill didn't think he was done and see him still playing effective basketball.

BTW T-Mac Sign as a free agent with Orlando he wasn't trade Big difference. Now he is asking for a trade because the team don't want Tracy and he feels he can play, just like a veteran player wants out went his team is on rebuilding mode and don't want you there.

Honestly, from what I have seen, this is probably something more along the lines of what McGrady wants then the organization. From what I had seen, Adelman would have gradually increased McGrady's minutes over time, but as he is now, he is a liability to give extended minutes to on the court, over the other players that either bring a hard nosed defense or the ability to score relatively quickly.

I can only blame the Rockets organization, if I had proof they mishandled things or just didn't want him on the court. From what I saw, they were willing to give him a shot but unlike last season, they weren't willing to gamble on the team's success just on his word of saying he can play but not showing enough to the coaches in practice or games for them to trust him.

This is a sad day for me as a fan of the Rockets. They have been my favorite sports team since I first watched sports in 1985. I have always had complete confidence that they always went for every win they could have and made each move to be successful (unlike pathetic Drayton McLain, etc).

I would have no problem if they played T-Mac and traded him this year. But to be DISINGENIOUS like this and pretend like they were bringing him back to give him a chance is embarassing.

T-Mac with one leg would probably be better in a game than Jermaine Taylor or Mike Harris. I am shocked by Rick Adelman.

We must approach this carefully, i think we're slowly getting the reputation as an organization that screws players.....if we keep this up, pretty soon nobody would want to sign with the Rockets.

So the Rockets should give a player that slows them down valuable minutes?

Micheal Murphy stated this morning on 790AM that people following the Rockets/McGrady saga could see that Tracy couldn't keep up with the guys when on the court. The team kind of slowed down with him there. He also couldn't play defense. He just isn't ready yet, but McGrady can't see that. I think this is why doctors don't diagnose themselves or the reason lawyers don't represent themselves.
