Now that Tracy is pretty much gone, I want to hear everyone's opinion of what is going to happen with Yao next season when he returns from injury. Yao has always been soft-spoken and could care less about minutes being played/shots taken/etc, but his handlers undoubtedly would not put up with him given a "role player" type position in the team.

I think it is quite clear that Yao is not capable of Rick's form of offense unless he is demoted to a supporting cast role in the team. Do you foresee Rick changing the run and gun/motion offense in order to accommodate Yao's slower style of play? Or is Rick going to stick to his guns like he did with Tracy and force him to run, thus also saying good bye to Yao?

Yao will be fine, it's pretty clear that the Rockets have a hidden agenda regarding Tracy.

The Rockets money-maker will retire a Rocket. Les will never get rid of him, no matter what.

He's going to declare himself ready to play and suit up, only to find that the coach and GM thinking he is not ready..

and then he's going to get 7-8 minutes a game because Rick doesn't know what to do with him and doesn't want him to cut into David Andersen's minutes.

During those minutes he will put in half ass efforts on defence and not run back, and DD will post 3000 posts about him in 20 threads of the same nature in the GARM

And then he is going to go back to Chicago to train with grover...

You guys are making way bigger of a deal out of this than it is. Adelman will run the same type of offense that he did before Yao got injured. The majority of the offense will be run through Yao. As soon as Yao went down, we switched to the run and gun offense we use now.

He's going to come back, average 18/8 in under 30 minutes a game and anchor a top 5 NBA defense and 55+ win team.

    That's all.

    1. Yao will start.
    2. We will play a slower more half court, post up oriented offense.
    3. The ball will not move nearly as much but we will be better.
    4. You will not hear a peep out of anyone within the organization about chemistry, running the offense, or fit.

Well we we play him 8 minutes a game until he deserves an increase in his playing time, thats how we handle injured "former" superstars around here.

Adelman will say he will not be old form and treat him like SF3 and TMac in his last year contract.

You know i wouldnt be suprised if that were the case, knowing RA would rather play players that aren't as skilled.

    A) We don't run every single play.

    B) When we do run, all 5 guys don't run. There would be no spacing.

    C) When we are in the half-court set, Yao will get his touches.

Please don't ask that question when there are millions of chinese fans here n some of yof. Obvious answer is they are going to keep him. You can't teach height and its hard to find a legit center that can score and make others change their shots.

Yao is gonna stay so les can make his money. I could be wrong but god forbid if he has another foot problem i hope they do think about moving him. Enough is enough with that damn foot.
