"Dec 24 G Chase Budinger (sprained right ankle) will be out until mid-January with a sprain termed mid-to-moderately severe. " Weird, did that come from the Rockets? Well crap, we are going to be in trouble over these next 2 weeks. DD
They said 2-3 weeks I believe, right? lol, I remember when he was first injured, there was some joker in the thread acting knowledgeable saying something about 2-3 days, and the guy who said it would probably be 2-3 weeks because that's how long it took his sprain to heal got all this grief from everyone else because he wasn't confidant enough about his opinion.
Aren't sprains pretty tough to diagnose through a TV screen? I thought he would have been able to return the next game from what I saw on TV, and I definitely didn't think it would be 3 weeks.
well the fact that he almost walked away without help made it seem like it wasnt too bad...perhaps he had a tape job or brace, or his shoes helped to give him support and slow the swelling and it turned out to be worse than it felt.
It is so pitiful that this one player being out has us totally screwed, mostly because our current 2/3 options are a 6'7" Rafer Alston with no handles, and and 6'7" Derek fisher with no vertical. Jesus. Has Rashad McCants gotten better yet?
What IS the deal with Wafer? After the news about failing the physical, I haven't heard anything else...
Yahoo sports isn't that accurate. A lot of times players come back way sooner than they state. Loo Will for example.
The Ruler should platoon them, and we should call the resulting combo... wait for it.... Chasey Budingrady (6)
their injury report is usually pretty accurate, i use it a lot since im in a fnatasy league. Now it's true some players come back sooner, so it's not a sure thing he'll be out until Jan, BUT if the timetable changes at some point Yahoo usually will update it.
I had a sprain on 5th December playing in my high school league game. It was nasty sprain just as Chase has now and you know what, I threw away my protective boot after 3 weeks and my foot is still sore. It usually takes 6 weeks as I was told by doctors for ligaments to get back in their place, especially if you have 2nd degree sprain. So don't expect him for a while, period.
STOP comparing every ankle sprain to Budinger's. there's all kinds of variations of an ankle sprain. We dont know how nasty his sprain was, we can guess now because of the time he's been out, but simply watching it when it happened doesnt tell us the whole story. Even looking at it post injury wouldnt. I've seen some badly swollen ankles heal faster than others that barely looked injured.
