Lost bc of fatigue, this ridiculous schedule and all these back to backs.

You're impressively deluded. Tracy hasn't been the leader of this team in years.

As for the rest of you who seem to think the sky is falling - it's not. We lost to a superior team in their arena in the last game of four consecutive back to backs. Nothing to be ashamed of here.

Good god, Trevor needs some rest though. His legs must feel like rubber. He's just looking terrible when shooting.

Coupled with the crappy play by the bigs down low on offense. What? Ariza just blew another layup you say?

Tough loss, and I'm preparing for the passive-aggressive "I told you so" BS from some posters.

Yes, that was also passive aggressive. :)

Real life = 4 straight sets of back-to-backs during the holidays, and having our only losses in that stretch be to the Nuggets, Magic, and Cavs?

Is that all it is? Again I ask, when's the last time we had a 3rd quarter that WASN'T Nets-esque? It's beginning to look more and more like we're basically screwed for the rest of the season.

All the talk about playing hard is nice, but guys can't keep the morale up and play hard when they find out coach is screwing them by keep Ariza as the go-to guy when there are better options available.

    Overreaction much?
Very surprising and disappointing, altogether. Really, the Cavs played a pretty much perfect game - no one on their side played badly, and that was the first time I've really seen Battier get mauled that badly defending an elite player, as Lebron was just too strong for him.
Hopefully get some rest, and we get a bit of a break with New Orleans.

I was actually expecting a loss. We lost to a far superior team who had a damn lot more size than we did. Nothing to be ashamed of. Ariza is who he is, a 3-4 th option. But we are not really hoping to win anything this year, why not let our young guys develop. At least we beat the cavs once this year, which i don't think anyone expected. No point in acting like the sky is falling when we loose a game that is expected to loose. Our guys did great. At least we were not being blown out in the first half. The cavs should be ashamed of themselves. It should have been a blow out win from the beginning. They were just bullying us in the middle. I gained more respect for our guys tonight. We did not give into all the hype. Our guys really stood their ground in the first half. But playing a bigger team really does take a tole on you physically.

Wanted to go back and add - the Cavs play like that throughout the playoffs, no one has a chance against them. Not even LA.

We are fooling ourselves if we think we can succeed w/o having a player who can command a double team or create for others off the dribble. Let's let go of our dissapointment in a man and think about the needs of our team. We need TMAC or comparable player no matter what we think or feel. We can be very good if we had a playmaker.

Good post. Not making excuses for Trevor, but he is playing way too many minutes, and obviously this overload of pt is hurting his performance. As I stated earlier, RA needs to retool this team perhaps even before the return of C-Bud. I see a lot of tired legs out there.

It's not just this game. How horrible are our 3rd quarters in EVERY SINGLE GAME. It's depressing to watch shot after shot bounce off the rim throughout every third quarter. Our guys have no leader, no motivator who can step up and knock down shots and shake off these freakin REPEAT 3rd quarter slumps.

Seriously, what part of he was playing in mind-racking pain do you not understand? Why do we have to hear this stupid comeback over and over again, when it is obviously completely irrelevant?

That depends on your definition of success. Considering our roster, I think we're already looking overwhelmingly successful. I don't expect us to be championship contenders this season with what we have. Hell, I wouldn't expect us to be championship contenders if T-Mac had returned from his injury in his scoring champ form.

Last 3 3rd quarters, Magic, Nets, Cavs have been 13, 13, and 15 points. Before that, 23, 24, 24, and 27. Those opponents are the Clippers, Thunder, Mavericks, and Nuggets.
