If we could get a scenario like this, I don't see why anyone would be opposed. He'd give us a scorer that can play off/on the ball, moreso on the ball. The only concerning thing is that he's injury prone, but we're not set up to get any other FA in the off-season anyway.

not much to figure out. Evans is a ball dominatimg PG. Martin is a SG that played their point and needed the ball. they will piss off a lot of fans if they give the team back to Martin. they have to move him.

I feel Kevin Martin fits well in the Rockets system. Better then McGrady does.

we're talking about him like he's some ariza-type who shows potential but has questions as to whether he can really make it as a scorer. the guy put up 25 a game last year and in four games this season is averaging 31, i don't care how his release looks it's clearly been working for him in the nba.

Kmart, Curry, or J'Oneal ? I really don't know what else we can get for the current TMAC except some garbages. From that said, I will pick Kmat any days of the week.

I would love to have martin on this team. Look at his break out year in 06-07
.473 FG% for 20ppg. An efficient scorer (when he isn't the teams only option) that can create for himself. He might lack defense but so does T-mac.

Kings are not going to let Martin go and I don't want him on the Rockets anyways!

His injuries aren't reoccurring like T-mac's back and knees. They were all different parts groin, ankle, wrist. IIRC.

    Did you you?

The Kings are selling the idea they're not desperate financially and don't need to salary dump but then it's mentioned they'd like to move:

The key one being Nocioni's contract. All the preceding talk was about their future looking bright financially and moving Nocioni's contract helps that.

As for "going nowhere". They noted a few conditions...

    Would he fit? yes
    Is he worth it? maybe
    Is he available? probably not
Will be land him? chances are slim

When I read that article, no where do I come away with the notion that Martin is available or that Sacramento is a motivated seller.

Those quoations infer they want to move guys other than Martin or cap room.

They also list catostrophic type conditions where they then would be willing to move Martin, but for an all star big.

How does any of that insinuate that Houston ends up with Martin?

There is no way we get Martin without giving up either Brooks or Landry with McGrady. People here are dreaming.

Kevin Martin would be an absolute steal for T-mac's expiring...are people expecting we land Wade or Lebron with the expiring somehow?

Right now our team desperately lacks a pure perimeter scorer....Ariza was suppose to be it, but he hasn't panned out...Brooks could be it, but he's too short...Budinger could become it, become being the keyword.
