Lock if necessary - thanks. http://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/post/_/id/11767/tracy-mcgrady-saga-whats-next
Is Shane telling the truth, or is he sugarcoating it for the media? If Tracy has indeed played nice, there's no reason NOT to give him minutes on the court.
if you see how tracy and the players interact, they seem very cool (check out the 1-on-1 post practice clips posted a while ago). the problem remains with tracy and adelman/morey and their direction for the team. that's where the friction has been. i don't think there's any friction (or anything major) b/t tracy and the rocket players. lowry even twitted with excitement before tracy played his first game. and landry said he gave tracy a standing ovation before he came in v. detroit to appreciate all his hard work.
McGrady has probably never had a coach stand up to him in his entire career and I'm sure it stings. Now that he knows the feeling, the humility he's learning will help him on his next team. He'll always hold this lesson against the Rockets.
shane either lied or he must have been misquoted because we all know from dd that t-mac's a cancer and a very bad teammate!!!!!111
..because Shane has a history of throwing his teamates under the bus? I'm sure he'd love to place himself in a situation where he PO management and a teammate at the the same time.
Buyout incoming, he wants his time increased, the Rockets don't. They're going to have a serious sit-down and figure this out. I doubt they're going to cave in and let him play longer minutes.
I don't think a buyout would happen until after the trade deadline it would be stupid for the team to do that. And if they can't trade him, Tmac would need to offer a lot of money back for them to buy him out because insurance is already covering his contract. I think Tracy pissed in his bed and now is having to lay in it. DD
if his agent is involved, a trade (or tmac's team will say trade me for the first time) or buyout is coming.
It will all be done by Monday, finally. The team will either buy him out or a trade will be done. I hope it is a trade where the Rockets don't take a long contracts but a expiring ones.
Please.....lol. They could be discussing a multitude of things, playing time, trade preferences, buyouts. Agents are WAY more involved than you may think. DD
When a Rockets player or official says something it is meet with doubt, but when a blogger says something there is no doubt.
Doesnt mean they care one bit about McGrady. Just means they tolerate him, and choose to stay out the BS. They do them, & McGrady does McGrady. Doesnt mean they've forgotten and forgiven for past years' trangressions. The telling thing about it all is the obvious, that McGrady has traveled and practiced with the team basically every day since the start of the season. No one's been able to explain that. Is McGrady riding in separate shuttles? If they just could not stand even the sight or mention of him, if there was all this animosity built up, why's he being given the chance to rehab and come back. Why even force your team to cater to someone like that? Why hold your team hostage to dealing with some unruly dillhole and allow him to distract everyone else, just so you can have maximum trade value and collect insurance money? You're basically telling your team the guy you absolutely despise in every way, put up with him for 6 months too bad.
I love how people act like they know exactly what goes on in the locker room. "Well of course he said that. But they don't really like him in the locker room." Really? You can tell all that from your tv and computer screen? From my view, it seems like they all get along fine. Always laughing and talking with each other. But let me guess, its just PR for any cameras that pan in on them right? Anything positive about T-Mac is always PR, and anything negative about T-Mac that comes out, is 100% fact. Amazing. Seriously, how come you guys aren't running a team?
