yea. . .cause he needs to go somewhere . . .where they don't need him to be the LEAD HORSE

Somewhere where he can be like PAYTON and MALONE
    on that Laker Team

It isn't confusing if you can differentiate between what the Rocket officials say to what the bloggers add.

Tracy wanted to play, but the organisation said no and are doing what is best for Tracy. Tracy feel he is ready for more minutes, but Adelman is again doing what is best for him and the team chemistry.

I hardly think asking to play more than 8 minutes is asking to be the LEAD HORSE.

TMAC knew this was a contract year. Waiting for the summer was not an option.

Like Keth Jones said, T-Mac really pushed it like he was told to. He even said many times that "I think it's just mental, I will push through it." (I remember this cause I translated the whole press conference explaining T-Mac's decision on the surgery) But his knee didn't get better like the doctors said it would be. Instead, he was limping even more than ever. How would you expect him to play with the knee getting worse? Like Harpring said it in his article, it is simply impossible to play on one leg. It's not just a couple of games, it's a whole season of possibly 100 games we're talking about. Do you really think it is physically possible?

As for your question, I believe he would. Might I remind you that this is the man played with multiple injuries in 07-08 playoffs and gave it his all?Remember that shoulder pad and knee bandage? He had to take painkiller shots to get on the court for god sake. Still he chose to fight through it cause he knew how important these games were.

Sorry, that I forgot to mention. But whatever, people choose to believe what they want to believe. It all comes down to this, whenever a bad news about T-Mac comes out, it must be true. While the good news is just T-Mac trying to earn some PR. I'm getting exhaused of this endless fight.

Its another stalemate with McGrady and a coach. Adelmen is erring on the side of caution. McGrady is trying to blow up big in his contract year.

No matter what's coming out his mouth, McGrady's taking it all personal like they're crimping on his style. Like they're stealing his sunshine. Like a hairdresser chopping off all a girl's hair who was going to try out for American Idol the next day. When all they're doing is limiting his minutes.

Lets not act like Adelman has never dealt with NBA players before. Bonzi Wells and Ron Artest never had a problem with Adelman. Clyde Drexler never had a problem with Adelman. I dont think Morey is as classy as his repuation suggests, but he's been fair enough.

You want McGrady to "get it" and adapt. But people also wanted Steve Francis to get it on his 2nd Rockets stint. Truth is they never got it and never will.

    CIya tracy!!!!

But seriously how many 20+ pages, t-mac threads are going to
pop up everyday. Every twist and turn has to be a 30 page thread really?

Defense of T-mac at all costs will certainly wear you out.

Especially when he makes it so difficult to defend his actions time after time after time.

You are like the chastity belt protecting T-mac's vagina from the piercing barbs of reality.

What's funny through this whole there
All the TMAC Apologist have been living with one theme

    TMAC DESERVES . . . . . BLAH BLAH BLAH

The question is simple . . . . . DOES HE HELP THE ROCKETS WIN GAMES
    If no . . . sit
    If yes . . . . play

One thing I'm finding odd here, why is everyone this positive that Dorey overruled Adelman and shut down McGrady?

McGrady publicly calls for increased minutes before/after Orlando game, despite a mediocre showing.
Adelman publicly states that McGrady will continue to get 8 mins/game gonig forward.
The team announces that McGrady is not joining the team for the back-to-back.
Morey states that another sit down will be happening before McGrady rejoins the team.

What we're missing in the equation:
McGrady talking to Adelman about increasing his PT behind closed doors.
Adelman's talk with McGrady about why he's sticking with the 8 min plan and what he wants to see before increasing the PT behind closed doors
What led to the decision that McGrady would not play, and who forced that hand.

This is speculative, and half the folks on the BBS will be furious about it (sorry, I don't have any videos), but McGrady pitching (another) fit over the decision that went against his public wishes seems more believable to me than Morey shutting him down for some inexplicable reason.

If this was a front office decision, wouldn't they put forth a reason in the announcement? That another sit down is being planned suggests that McGrady is not on the same page as the team.

I don't think he's hating, I think he's speculating like everyone else in this tired ass thread.BTW, tracy having surgery had zero to do with him not being traded last year. There was no deal with the cliippers nor the nets.

He d*mn sure made sure there there would be no Deals

    Let's be serious
    TEAM McGRADY said:
Look Tracy - You leg may or may not get better.
You can fight through it . . . .ya'll may get a championship
but . . . . Remember your teammate at Orlando . . . Grant Hill was never the same
. . .do you want that to be you?
If you do this surgery in the summer. . . you won't sniff a basketball
court before the trade deadline . . .no matter what!
    So . . . your options are
    1. Operation shutdown - You have this surgery, come back strong in nov and make a monster comeback and get big money . . hell . . Artest will probably be back and every one else will be better . . so you can make a stronger run . .and maybe a championship next year
    2. You can play through . . . get hurt worse and still not get a championship
and next year you don't play . . .and you get jack for a contract next off season . . . . you might get a ring this year but the Lakers are looking strong . . .

    Rocket River
I think we know which option they chose. . . .
I don't think it was a 'basketball' decision more
    than a business one

I don't blame him . . but that doesn't mean I have to like it
    or him
