Well the Rockets finally broke their losing streak tonight and won 82-79 over the lowly Clippers (their best player was some guy named Dye or something), but a win is a win.

We trailed after the first quarter 25-23 after a last second shot by the Clips...Eddie looked a little bit tired tonight as he wasn't playing the best of D and Collier was his usual self bricking layup after hook shot. Ahmed Ismail started and made a nice steal at half court drove the lane with the hoop and foul..Nice Play! Tito Maddox started as well with nothing special to show except a few drives to the lane and pass off..How odd.

Trailed 41-37 at the half after we had a last second 3 point 30ft shot of our own by Tierre Brown. Hate to say this, but this is the quarter that Collier finally came to play...he was hustling and making shots and getting garbage points and some clutch rebounds as well, it was good to see. Kyle Hill (the little Steve Smith look-a-like IMO) even had some beautiful drives and smooth shots. Griffin was benched the entire quarter thusly we never came back from the 2 point deficit.

Tied 60-60 after 3. Nothing too eventful in this quarter save for the awesome ally-oop pass form TB to EG that made the crowd hollar and hoot, while EG hanging on the rim. However the Clips came back with a dunk on the other side after an outlet pass because our D was sleeping.

4th Quarter: We kept EG in the game this entire time and he was definitely getting winded at this point. I could really see him struggling to keep his breath, but he still hung in there and made the strong pass or tough rebound when he had to. Collier was injured and was limping after the game..have no idea what happened though?? Didn't look too serious, but is that a good thing or not? I'll let y'all decide. We took the lead to about 12+ nearing the end of the game but almost blew it with some lousey passing and stepping out of bounds (Dane Fife with a wide open 3 just after he stepped out of bounds, would have been a nice shot though) Came down to a needed clutch couple of free throws and T Maddox was fouled and missed both  Clips missed their next 3 point attempt and Ike Nawanko (sp?) was fouled and made the second of 2 to clinch the win.

EG finished with about 18 points, 6 or so boards and a couple of blocks, Collier with 17 (best game thus far) and Ocsar third in scoring. The game was officiated much better tonight and the game had a flow to it and finished in about an hour and 50 mins. Man, that was quick!! T Mo didn't play tonight..had some ice on his left knee..didn't look too serious though either..I asked him after the game and he said it was nothing, so who knows. Overall good game to watch and excellent outcome..Still love those black and red unis!!!

Sorry in advance...I wasn't keeping notes or looking at the box score, so I don't know the exact stats. :D

I seen pics of the Rockets wearing those black and red uniforms at the summer league also. Those are some awesome looking uniforms. I hope the new uniforms next year are modeled after those.

Thanks for the updates. I can't believe when the summer league is over...long, long months with no NBA at all. Guess I'll write a book or something.

Hey Houston-in-LA, sorry this summer has been hectic for me with summer school and I don't think I might make any of the remaining games but I definitely like to meet you and the others on the BBS at the games. Maybe next summer we can have a spot where we can meet and sit and talk while we watch the games. Anyways have lots of fun there! Till next summer my friend.
