Remember, when the buying stops the killing can too. Yao's English has really improved.

What do people use Ivory for anyways?

I wonder if those announcements are working. I don't think Chinese people will give up shark fin soup o_O. Oh well I eat the imitation shark fin soup because the real is too expensive =)

lol...don't think the chinese will stop with the shark fin soups...but to my knowledge a lot of the fin soups are not acutally sharks. most of it are just deep sea fish like tuna.

Wao!!! Tinman is giving props to some players other than the championship run teams.

Christmas spirit is certainly into Tinman.

In reflection Tinman is probably happy Yao got us out of the first round. That's worth some commercial props at least.

I have eaten shark fin soap many times since young as it is almost a MUST in wedding banquet here. The texture of shark fin is very unique and its very easy to distinguish from the fake. Someone use artificial fin (invented by Japanese) as replacement but it just taste as plastic. Actually, Tuna cannot make the same.

alot of the shark fin soup served in America is artifical. Which is good, we do not need to be doing that to an endangered species. I hope Asia follows suit, even if it just tastes like "plastic".

We have to be respectful of other animals, just as we should respect ourselves.

This is so bad, but I could see a Family Guy spoof of the first clip, where the bullet goes through Peter's hand, instead of Peter blocking the bullet.

    Sigh @ Adult Swim.

The meaning of serving shark fin soap in chinese wedding is not the taste, but the "value" behind that represents the "respect" to the guests. This mind (or culture) is rooted in the old generation. It needs time to educate the people. Yao did a great job!

Personally I support to ban shark fin, but I will not eat any artificial fin coz its effect to your health is unknown. Be careful man!
