no but it's the team's fault having lost in both 2005 and 2007 playoffs cause the team was healthy and complete
good list until you came to the Jazz. they deserve all the bad luck they get, esp while Sloan is coaching.
Yes were the unluckiest team of the decade. We had our chance to get pass the 2nd round back in 04-05 and possibly win a title when we were all healthy, but the refs cheated us. Then after that season Yao and tracy have been injured ever since.
The Clippers are immediately disqualified because of their shoddy ownership\management. Unluckiness should only apply to teams that actively try to win. But how can you mention the Clippers of the last decade without the Livingston incident? That's the one youtube clip of the last decade I wish I could unwatch. I don't think I could say the Rockets are the unluckiest team. They've had their brutal share of injuries, but they've also had some good fortune. They landed the #1 pick and Yao after all the injuries to Stevie. They were able to unload Francis, Cat, and Cato for McGrady (universally praised) on a bad Orlando GM. They were able to steal Battier for Gay (endlessly debated here, but I say steal on our part). They had the good luck to fire Van Gundy when Adleman was available. Most importantly they took a chance on an innovative young GM when replacing CD. That last move led to finding draft gems in Brooks, Landry, and Budinger. It also led to trades where we fleeced the other side in getting Scola and Lowry. That's a pretty solid streak of moves for us.
I wouldn't say were Unlucky. But we have been through some tough moments. And with those tough moments came the good moments. Such as the 22 game winning streak after Yao went down. And Last year's play-off performance was outstanding after losing T-Mac And Yao in the 2nd round. The Clippers have had it much worse!
Michael Jordan cursed the Blazers worse than he cursed us, probably because our draft pick in 1984 was reasonable compared to theirs. I would say the Blazers have been much more unlucky then we have. The 2000 Blazers blew the 20 points led they had against the Lakers in Game 7 of the WCF. After that Blazers started being nicknamed the Jail Blazers for a long time until B-Roy came to town. Once B-Roy came to town, Oden was drafted and immediately he was injury prone. Now this season is around, Oden and Przybilla both their starting centers are out for the season. Blazers have been much more unlucky then us, we just have Tmac, Blazers just seemed to be cursed.
