i dont think 8 mins per game is what he'll be playing by ASG but i think that he would get 20-30 at most with chase, trevor and battier at the wing spots minutes should be pretty even i believe. Factor in if JT gets anymore PT if he is able to show some promise in the next two weeks and of course Harris if no one is moved by the all-star break it could still be a question.
I think a lot of people do. This whole Mcgrady all-star situation has been of interest for a while, it's good to see that he's doing the right thing and sitting out. So far it looks like he's saying and doing all the right things it's exciting to see.
Were you watching the same game I was? The offense ran smoothly when it went through Mcgrady. The ball movement, all the cutting and the running is done for one thing, and one thing only: to generate higher percentage points. With Tmac in there you achieved the exact same result: he got open looks for everyone. Running around like chickens with their heads cut off won't get you anything, esp. in the playoffs when it slows down. You need good execution above all else, and Tmac showed the last game he can be an enabler for that. Full strength Tmac is exactly what we need to complement Brooks and Battriza on the floor, if you think he doesn't fit after the last game then you need to watch the vid again IMHO.
From a 10-time all star to a 7-time all star. That would be a huge difference in the HOF resume, right?
Actually, is it really "classy" for T-Mac to decline? The starters are voted in by the fans, and the fans say they want him to play. So isn't that like a big FU to those that voted him in?
as I said here: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=4946072&postcount=170 Tmac is doing the classy thing. And I give him tons of props for it. And this guy: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=4946094&postcount=172 http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=4946297&postcount=178 Can enjoy his giant FAIL with a side of LULZ
It's not like he had no choice from a PR view. It was already a joke. If he had accepted it would've turned him into a luaghing stock.
He didn't need to say anything. Stern would just have pulled off another amazing "comeback" for whoever was right behind him in the voting like he did in previous years (like the one where T-Mac was griping about going to post-Katrina NO or the one where AI beat him on the final weekend). Also, about the last game, yes our offense went strong when T-Mac was out there, but we also were an absolute sieve on defense. Particularly, I saw two instances where T-Mac just cleared out for his man when the guy was driving to the hoop.
I think this is a classy move by t-mac. He realizes that there are other guys who deserve to play in the all-star game ahead of him and is willing to give up his spot if he gets in. Much respect.
I have to wonder what people expect from Mac's fifth game back from a career-threatening injury. Thank God that he's ok is what I say. If he keeps playing like last night, I'll repeat what I've always said, our best bet would be to keep him and Ming at a discount. If we can keep these two on board at a substantially lower cost and add another major player in another year, this team would be so ridiculously stacked, that it's not even funny. Though some of you gripe to no end, I know that you all want the same thing that I want. I hope we get it. Patience people.
Obviously you did for you to respond... Keep voting for T-Mac if you want to, as a fan you have a right.
