    Dude....seriously?

Mike Harris is a good addition, he's a team player and that's what the rockets are now a team! A new player every night stepping up. GO ROCKETS!

Meh Rockets have enough undersize team players. Not excited at all. They need someone like Marc Gasol.

I'm not sure Wafer is actually injured. He woudn't fit on this team anyway since he'd want more minutes and touches than he'd get. The guard positions are pretty solid for the Rockets so I wasn't sure why they'd pursue him. Perhaps they wanted a short-term replacement if Budinger sat out significant time but McGrady, Taylor and even Lowry could get more minutes and play well. Plus, Wafer could disrupt the team's great chemistry with his attitude. I'm not really sold on Harris ecause he's a tweener, but if the reports are true that his jumpshot is much improved, he could be a hidden gem.

Because there's a Marc Gasol Tree growing in the northern hills of Spain for us to pick.

With all the injuries, we just need capable players period.

So what, TWO teams lied for the hell of it? Just because they discovered something doesnt mean he's visibly injured, it could be something Wafer is in denial about or something he's trying to play through and the docotors thought it would be too risky...

didnt Wafer injure his back here last year and had a problem with a disk? It may be the same issue and maybe that's why Houston wasn't crazy about re-signing him....then checked him again now and realized it still wasnt right? It seemed like his injury last year "healed", but maybe it never did, maybe the team knew it was significant..

And i can't believe some fo you fans, complaining about the physicals the team gives and that it blocked the team from adding Wafer. What has been the worst thing of the last few years? INJURIES!!! Here's the team trying to avoid the same problem by not putting themselves in a potentially bad situation and y'all can't see that? If they had signed him and later it was revealed he was damaged goods y'all would want Keith Jones and all the medical staff fired...

It is about time we had an HONEST and truthful explaination about all of this from the Rockets Management, or is it expecting too much? :p

That's exactly what I was thinking, once he gets healthy the team will pick him up.

Thanks for that ascorelle; I'm glad to hear that there's some good come out of this then. I really liked Von Wafer a lot last year, especially after McGrady's surgery; liked what I saw of him and was pretty darned excited to hear of his return. For some reason, I don't remember Harris very well (?).

I wonder if the reason for the fail on the physical will ever be made public? surely if he fails this physical then he'll not pass one for the Grizzlies either...

we don't need wafer he is not a team player and we are a team. da dakota i don't understand why you like wafer soo much. he doesn't pass the ball, he is inconsistent and his i.q. on the court is sub-par. he didn't fit in last year what makes you think this year will be any better? do you not remember him leaving the team b/c we didn't want to pay him enough money? he had 1 decent season! just one. and then he acted like he was worth a $20 million contract or something. you gotta be kidding me. do you remember this?: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vj3RDoK118Y
its no wonder he didn't fit in with the rox or his team in greece, he is too selfish and i disagree with him being resigned or even talked to again. i am a wafer hater. good job mike harris! hard work does pay off! harris is someone we can actually fit in with the chemistry we already have.
