Laughable. We are giving our most consistent player in Landry for their trash. You should be stoned for posting this. ;)

I would trade Landry for a 1-5 pick. I would not trade Landry for a 5-10 pick.

This has got to be one of the worst trade ideas I've EVER seen. I think this little kid is a Knicks fan and must hate the Rockets for the 'ship we took from them when he was but a toddler.

Shane Battier + Aaron Brooks to Portland for Andre Miller + Rudy Fernandez

    Why Portland does it
They want Battier to enhance their defense/#3 position and they love Brooks(from Oregon) who can improve the sales on tickets.

    Why Houston does it
Though Brooks has shown some improvement, his play is not consistent. Besides, his AST/TO ratio is too low. His trade value has reached the peak. Andre Miller will be a good fit for Rockets, both team with/without Yao. We also have to enhance our #2 position(we lost Von Wafer, Tmac's health problem, Ariza is not a pure SG) and Rudy is the man.

    How about this trade?

    Javale McGee
    Caron Butler

    for

    Shane Battier
    Brian Cook
    Jermaine Taylor
    Future 2nd

I'm thinking Shane would give stability to that line up while also getting an expirer in Cook and young talent in Taylor while the Rockets get a better scorer and a solid defensive player in Butler and a nice project in McGee.

    Clippers/Nets /Rockets trade

    Clippers get:
    S. Battier
    J. Boone
The clippers get a young power forward, and a good experienced vet.

    Rockets get:
    D. Jordan
    T. Battie
Why the rocket do it, it gives them great length, athleticism and size inside (7'0 with a 7'6 wingspan, D. Jordan)good young center with great potential and can have a great impact with the current team, and Battie's 6.6 mill. come of the books this off season.

    Nets get:
    S. Telfair
    C. Smith
    R. Davis
The Nets do it to get a better scoring punch of the bench.(I really don't know, I don't watch them, but any trade would help them)

Line up for rest of the yr 09/10
    Aaron/ Kyle
    McGrady/ Wafer/ Taylor
    Ariza/ Budinger
    Scola/ Landry/ Battie
    Hayes/ Jordan/ Andersen

(buy out Brian Cook or trade him to the Jazz for cash consideration.)

    #1.Mac

    for

    AK47
    CJ Miles

    #2.Mac

    for

    AK47
    Ronnie Brewer

    #3.Mac

    for

    AK47
    Ronnie Brewer
    Kosta Koufos

    Why Rockets do it:

AK47 seems like a defensive minded all round player that would fit our team well. As much as I don't like the j*zz, I think his versatility would compliment our team well.

CJ Miles given minutes has shown that he can play
Ronnie Brewer can D up, although his offensive game isn't up to par but he also seems to fit the mold of a player DM likes
Koufos: a legit 7 footer, young, and has some potential. back up for Yao...

Why Utah does it: who cares... no just kidding. they are about to lose boozer, mac's expiring could lure some FA's to come and play with Deron Williams.

to be honest, i hope they suck and when we trade mac he sucks for them too.

i understand some of you dont really like T-Mac, but come on.. to the Jazz? That's the ultimate insult.. worse than anything T-Mac has done to the team, and thats putting them all together, twice.

Battier, Scola, Hayes,JT, Von Wafer's rights (if we have 'em, I thought we did as we bought out his contract... i may be wrong though) for AL Jefferson.

The Wolves are terrible, two vets ( scola, Battier) teach the young'ns and help considerably better. Chuck Hayes has done well this year but he'd be icing on the cake. They'll take Von since Kahn's greedy and loves guards.
Jefferson has had some injuries but their none indicate a domino effect like Yao's foot or Landry's teeth.

    Then we'd be the Champs:
    Aaron Brooks/ Kyle Lowry
    Tracy McGrady/Chase Buddinger
    Trevor Ariza/ Mike Harries
    Al Jefferson/ Carl Landry
    Yao Ming/ Davud Andersen

Then to top off the roster a couple good role players in the FA market this summer or draft picks.

Ok so after the last few days of activity in the NBA two things have become clear...Bulls are about ready to blow up the team around Rose and Portland's depth is bone dry now along with needing a center BIG TIME.

So after a few variations with the Bulls, Blazers and Rox I came up with this proposal.

Blazers need a center bigtime so they get Ty Thomas
    - 4 million a yr with an expiring contract so no harm no foul

Bulls are imploding so its time to look to the summer of 2010 thus get TMAC/Blake
    - Thats over 26 million in expiring contracts which puts them in a prime spots to go after a star in the offseason while bringing in a big name.

Rox could go a couple of ways here but Rudy F. and J. James would come over along with either B.Miller or L. Deng
    - If the Rox wanted to play for this year then Miller is their guy along with nice expiring contracts to possibly move at the deadline.
    - If the Rox want to play for the splash then Deng would provide that and setup Yao along with Deng as centerpieces while providing a jolt for this season's run to the playoffs.

Blazers get their center at a very small expense

Bulls get cap space and a name

Rox get Fernandez for later on in the season and 2010 along with either center help or scoring small forward.

    09-10
    Brooks/Lowry
    Deng/Budinger/Fernandez
    Ariza/Battier/Taylor
    Scola/Landry/
    Hayes/Andersen/Dorsey

10-11 - Battier, Budinger or Ariza would need to be traded but projected...
    Brooks/Lowry/???
    Deng/Budinger/???
    Ariza/Fernandez/Taylor
    Scola/Landry/Hayes
    Yao/Andersen/Dorsey

Just because you have a 1-5 pick does not mean they will turn out to be a superstar. Landry is not worth trading period. He has tons of potential and is already tearing it up. Sometimes its the later picks in the draft that are the real stars.

I would do that New Orleans deal in a heartbeat, especially if we could get NO to buy on Mcrady and re-sign him here to play with CP3 and the rest of the gang down the playoff stretch.
