Dirk might be a great basketball player but he's still a whiner and a pansy and judging by recent news, his taste in women is about as questionable as mazyar's.

    The Rockets have the anti-Dirk.

The non-flopping severely under-appreciated Carl Landry who takes his blocking fouls without fear of getting a boo-boo. A man who gets his teeth knocked out and then gets up like a man and calls for the trainer, instead of writhing on the floor like a 6 year old who got stung by a bee.

Dirk will always be a Maverick, and by definition he is the by-product of a team built by a dot-com kid owner obsessed with extravagance and winning by any means necessary (usually by berating refs, whining to the league offices and making a general ******* out of himself on a regular basis).

A team that is not a team that relies on the fundamentals of basketball, but on a collection of players who are skilled in some fashion or another, but could/can never quite play cohesively enough as a unit on a consistent basis to win an NBA championship.

Mark Cuban is the brat of NBA ownership, and his constant bashing of the refs and gross overpayment of Erick Dampier have left his never-ending pockets a bit lighter than usual. Combine this with questionable personnel moves such as the trading of a young slashing PG like Devin Harris for an aging Jason Kidd and you've got a guy who is clearly too into his team, a man who will tinker around with a good thing in order to gain an extra edge, when in reality his lack of patience will only hurt his organization in the long run.

So in short, **** the Mavericks.

    Here, here.

P.S. - I've found that if you shout "F*#$ YOU JASON TERRY" at your TV when he has the ball, he screws up. Wondering why he was cold last game? Yeah, that was me.

    Dirk is the anti-Landry.

One guy get his grill destroyed and calmly walks off the court. He misses one game because he has to and talks to the media like the injury was nothing.

The other guy initiates the contact, gets a cut on his elbow and he is talking in the media like he had to have his arm re-attached after a croc attack.

I would trade any single player on the rockets for dirk within a second.

Plus he seems to come back from any injury pretty quickly.

There are some guys that you can't root for, even if they are on your team.

You....are like a god to me.

Thanks for stating all this so eloquently so that the rest of us don't have to.

Letting Nash go to sign with the Suns has been Cuban's greatest move of all time.

Dirk's come back into the game after having teeth knocked out moments before. He consistently comes back from high ankle sprains days/weeks earlier than anticipated.

People talk about how Josh Howard is the tough guy. Bull crap. Howard misses a month every time he sprains his ankle. Dirk is the one always come back early/plays with pain because he knows how important he is to the Mavs.

I will have anyone who's ever played on the Rockets over having Dirk any day of the week. Yes, even Ryan Bowen.

Here is where my homerism will be coming out in full force, I wouldn't want Dirk on the Rox. Dirk has the stats, playoff apperances and durablity but ughhhhh....

    Legit reason -
    - While Dirk has success in the reg season and playoffs often times he has come up short in key situations and can be taken out of his game with physical play.

    Non-Legit reason -
    - The guy just doesn't fit the Rockets style or persona as a team. I guess just doesn't pass the eyeball test.

I know, Dirk is a fantastic player but I'd find it hard to root for the guy although now that he has some of "The Tooth" in his elbow it may be easier.
