    Schaub: Pro Bowl

Do you think Schaub gets to the Pro Bowl?

Peyton will get the Starter but who else would be before Schuab?
VY - well he has not played enough games *grin* [just to irratate folx]
    Phil Rivers? maybe.
What other QB is doing anything significant in the AFC?

    Manning
    Rivers
    Big Ben
    Brady

They are all ahead of Schaub for the Pro Bowl.

    Losing causes that.

I think he deserves a spot but just to many QBs with better pedigrees.

    Manning - Obvious
Rivers - Media loves the guy and having a great season on a winning team
Brady - Numbers about the same, on a winning team and with a hotter wife(assuming)
Ben R. - Today's victory probably gives him the edge but still not getting in either.

Schaub will get there but not this year or next...it might take him a while or injuries to other QBs.

It's a popularity contest imo(just like every other all-star game in all the other pro sports)

All guys who are or could be potentially ahead of Schaub:

    Carson Palmer
    Phillip Rivers
    Peyton Manning
    Tom Brady
    Ben Roethlisberger

How many QBs do they usually take? 3? Are any of them injured? None right now. We'll have to wait and see. If I had to say right now if he made it or not, I'd probably say no.

I've watched every Chargers game and every Texans game this year. There is no way Schaub makes it ahead of Rivers who I think should be a very legit MVP candidate as he has carried the Chargers on his back numerous times this season at the end of games.

I've seen Schaub collapse time and time again under pressure and I don't care how good the numbers are, when you falter under pressure like he has, you don't deserve to go to the Pro Bowl (though he may get to go just based on no one else taking control of those spots). From missing the easy pass at the end of the Arizona game to the whole Indy game collapse, he has shown the need for serious improvement when it comes down to the end of the games.

I don't put this season's failures on Schaub, but he certainly shoulders a lot of the blame alongside the Browns and Steve Slaton.

Schaub goes in as an injury replacement.

Manning or Rivers will probably be in the Super Bowl, so his odds increase with the new format.

Actually, thinking about it more he might get in because since the game is in between the championship games and Super Bowl one of those QBs will be eliminated and normally one or two don't go or just decide not to play.

Lets say Manning makes the SB so then Brady, Rivers and Big Ben would be ahead of him, considering Brady is coming off a major injury and Big Ben is always hurt those two might skip leaving Rivers, Schaub and someone else.

the AFC is such a crowded QB conference.

    Schaub's conf rankings:
    QB rating - 3rd
    Yards - 2nd
    TDs - 3rd
    Comp% - 2nd

Based on that, he should go.

Will he? Depends on the final two weeks I suppose.

9-7 with an impressive performance or two and I'd say he's in.
