Denver is looking for big man depth and they have trade exceptions to take on either Cook or Dorsey.

    http://www.denverpost.com/nuggets/ci_14039537

    Cook/cash for TE.

Gives the Rockets flexibilty to sign someone who might actually play for a lot less than Cook makes. Harris/McCants/Temple/Conroy

    or

Make a McGrady trade with two open roster spots, enabling them to make a 3 for 1 or 4 for 2 type trade.

Another Silly McGrady 'trade'; Bleacher Report

    http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...-that-could-happen-before-the-deadline#page/6

Of all the laughably ridiculous ideas for trading, giving away?, Tracy McG, here's one of the more inanely silly:

Going NBA Christmas Shopping: Five Trades That Could Happen Before the Deadline
    by Tanner Thoms Senior Analyst
    Tracy McGrady to the Knicks
    Slide 6 of 7

    Knicks receive:

    SG Tracy McGrady
    PF Carl Landry

    Rockets receive:

    PF Al Harrington
    SG Larry Hughes

Just a straight up deal. Nothing more than what you see.

Tracy McGrady will not be happy in Houston with the minutes he's gotten this year.

The Rockets refused to play him even though he had been healthy for several weeks.

Al Harrington has been rumored to the Bulls before, but the trade did not go through as expected.

Harrington will give the Rockets a possible starter at center instead of Chuck Hayes.

This trade doesn't look great on paper, but it could definitely help both teams in the long run.

It's more of a business type of deal.

No, it's more of a 'who allowed you to write this tripe' type of deal!

The problem with that idea is that Denver is already well into the luxury tax. That means that, by adding Brian Cook's contract, the Nuggets would have to pay the rest of his salary + another $3.5M in luxury tax. Since the most a team can include in any trade is $3M, this still puts the Nuggets in the whole for another $500,000 on top of Cook's salary. I just don't see Denver doing that. It would be downright fiscally irresponsible of them.

This is horrible. Carl Landry should be untouchable based on how he's been playing this year. He's going to have a bright future.

Carl Landry, by himself, is worth more than Hughes and Harrington.

This crap, Bleacher Report, is equivalent to some idiot posting a trade thread in the GARM.

Look who wrote the article, Tanner Thoms.

"Hello fellow Bleacher creatures, my name is Tanner Thoms. I am a 16 year old from Sioux Falls, South Dakota. No, we do not still ride on horses to get around, New Yorkers."

"Houston will give up Landry if they can get Harrington. Landry should be starting, but he's not. I don't see why he isn't.

I could see the Rockets doing McGrady and Chuck Hayes for Harrington as well."

    Hahahahahaha...no

    .....

Wow that may the worst trade idea I have heard yet involving McGrady. Landry included for what? McGrady is not a cancer that we have to give up a player like Landry just to get rid of him.

Hello fellow Bleacher creatures, my name is Tanner Thoms. I am a 16 year old from Sioux Falls, South Dakota. No, we do not still ride on horses to get around, New Yorkers.

I am everything football, basketball, and baseball. I specialize in football mainly, though.

From the age of 5, I could name almost every starter on every football team. 11 years later, I can do that and even more.

I'm a great fantasy football player. I've won in two leagues over the past three years. If you need any advice on it, email me at Tannerthoms28@yahoo.com I check it daily.

I have a website called Broncosbanter.com where I, Sayre Bedinger, and Henry Gula write about the Denver Broncos.

    Thanks for reading!

I'll take it - if New York also gives us every first round pick they own in even numbered years until 2036. Maybe.

just trash...I know everyone wants McGrady out of Houston, but I'd rather let his contract expire than trade him for scrubs and trash. No way you let him go for peanuts.

wow, who gets paid to make this stuff up to get clicks. This is garbage. They don't take into account that in good negotiations each side gets something and doesn't get screwed. Morey is a good negotiator!

T-mac is still worth something, whether it is in potential talent to be fostered in time, or just his huge expiring. And what is wrong with Chuck Hayes as a center on a fast-paced team until Yao is back? And why give up a sure-fire thing in Landry. The kid will be a star in a few years.

Morey knows how to trade and negotiate. The people writing this crap sure don't.
