This doesn't look that bad to me. I've had this happen a couple of times when playing ball. It'll be swollen for a few days but he'll be fine. Might miss a game or two.

I had a similar injury on a tip rebound about 4 months ago. I think there might have been a hairline fracture or something but I let it heal on its own. It's still fairly ginger but i can run with a ankle brace and high-tops.

This is what my foot looked like the next day. You can click on the pic to see how gross it really looked.

I got the game thing when I was about 17. Twisted my ankle pretty hard and it hurt, swelled. I was out for about 2 weeks. Hopefully it will be the same for Bud.

I have the same boot now and it really sucks to wear this thing.

I injured mine when I was going for a shot and then rolled my ankle...
After CT I found that I have a stress fracture in my right fibula so 4-6 weeks rest for me.

I hope CBud just rolled his ankle and that in worse case it's a few days painful because ankle injuries are really frustrating.

I wouldnt doubt if its a hairline fracture. Ive landed like that before and I couldnt walk good for a good two weeks. After a few months I was back at it again but would still feel pain from time to time, took at least a year for me to heal 100%.

Doubt it, he didnt land hard enough to break something, everyone is different and ankle sprains that "look" the same aren't always the same. A couple degrees one way or another can be the difference between a lot of damage or minor damage.

Takes a LOT longer; but, he will be playing on it a lot sooner than 4 weeks, I would assume.

all rocket fans need to pray that this is as minor as possible. it would suck for an injury to derail chase's rookie season, where he has been more than just pretty good.

just depends on the person--as we're seeing from the varied personal accounts.

Personally, I roll my ankle like that all the time--I'm fine the next day--just flexible like that..

yeah.. hopefully he's like Dirk. I remember seeing what looked like his shin folding sideways a couple years ago.. think he was back two games later or something. Guys made of rubber.. or he keeps good flexibility due to his flailing ability.

    LOL! I agree. Thumbs UP!

I still wish all the rockets were healthy though.
