I am getting tired of Worrell and Bullard, especially Bullard complaining about every little call that goes against the Rockets. It takes something away from the game for me because I have to hear them complain every five minutes about the refs. I've grown up listening to Worrell and this has especially gotten worse since he's been courtside with Bullard. Is anybody with me on this?

shut up. They are the commentators for the ROCKETS. Listen to the other team if you don't want to hear them. Bull and Bill are great. They don't complain nearly as much as most commentators. WOuld you rather have Clyde struggle to speak the English language? Bull is actually getting better than Bill at this point, I love what Bull has been doing.

The easiest solution is to put it on mute.

If you looks closely............there is a mute button on you remote. Press on it and magically Bill and Bull are silenced. Thanks me later.

Let's just say that when Bullard is commentating a Rockets game it's very hard to be a fan of the refs.

I want my commentators to be as enthusiastic as I am so no...I'm not with you.

Enthusiasm isn't the criticism. Its the complaining.

All Bullard has to say is "I don't agree with that call." But I prefer the commentary focus on what the players are doing, not the refs.

considering the ref's have been sucking it up royally (e.g. denver a few nights ago) i think some of the complaints are warranted.

I don't mind that they're pretty much openly rooting for the Rockets. The complaining about the refs does get tiresome, but it's no big deal. It's less of an issue when Clyde is "commentating."

I think Bull is relatively fair. He calls it when Scola flops or Lowry embellishes contact.

As for focusing on what the players are doing, I don't think anyone does it better than Matt Bullard. I think it's great the way he breaks down plays and gives a better understanding of the action.

stop complaining about the announcers, mute them and put on music thats what i do when they annoy me. We have fallen behind in commentating though, i watch alot of games with the other teams announcers and they all have gotten better, much more objective, fair, and intelligent homers, worrell is just getting too old for this sht, he says some odd things, clyde - no comment, bull just hates hates hates flopping, and so i do i so i don't get upset with it, his play analysis is very good imo

Exactly. This has been going on since last season. He needs to chill. We all can see the bogus calls. The complaining is excessive and he comes off as a big homer esp to viewers of LP.

I don't think you can realistically expect commentators, who cover a team for years, not to be homers. These guys are in close contact with the players and build relationships with them just like you and I do with our co-workers.(Good or bad)
It's human nature to pull for your guys, especially this particular group for obvious reasons.
And Bull well, 9 years as a player, two rings and got his first job as a commentator with this organization. What did you expect?

I'm with you dude. I get what you are saying. Air Bull has never gotten on my nerves like he did this year. I guess one of the reason being is that the rockets don't have a superstar now and they aren't getting calls their way and with the talent level down we aren't winning that much compared when we had Yao and Tracy.

hey at least they seem like real human beings and are more of 'our' voices than the usual commentator clowns. Of all the teams in the NBA that have historically gotten the shaft by the refs, we have to be up there. I have no problem with these guys calling a spade a spade, and they're still not nearly as big of homers as a lot of these other announcers.

OP, you either don't know what you're talking about and have really weak comprehension skills or you don't watch the game and you just wanted to post something for the heck of it.

Bullard calls it as he sees it. In the Dallas game, When Scola flopped and Worrell was like "boy, Marion ran all over Scola" Bullard replied "no Bill I think Scola flopped, so good call by the official letting this one go". He's not a homer by any means, he just calls what he sees and he does a damn fine job at it. I wouldn't exchange him for anyone outside of Van Chancellor.

I'd take him any day over Mark Jackson.
